Hey guys, first time in Philly. Hands down one of the best tacos, from the way the tortilla is made to the way they cook their meats! That’s not the best part, their Agua fresca 😮‍💨 is mouth watering! The atmosphere is beautiful! Very welcoming! And the music Is on point! 🙂‍↔️ 10/10 would come again just for this spot! How ya doing!

Do… not… eat here. First of all, they say they are the sister restaurant to James Beard’s South Philly Barbaccoa. Maybe accurate if we’re talking about an estranged sister with no cooking experience. The mystery meat in the tacos was nauseating, the $5 small plate of rice and beans were downright criminal, and the chicken was flavorless and dry. Don’t be bamboozled by the SPB association and think this place will serve you anything but well below average scraps.

Casa Mexico never disappoints. Always an excellent experience. Cristina Martinez easily one of the best chefs in Philadelphia and the country. Last night's mole was amazing. During our last visit we ordered the Chiles en Nogada, which were spectacularly delicious. The service is always excellent. All of Cristina's staff is lovely and so sweet. She's usually there as well, and I always feel like I'm in the presence of a celebrity because I've seen her on Netflix on the episode dedicated to her. But she's always so low key that you would never know she's THE Cristina Martinez.

Hello, just an observation for the owner who charged us and took the order upon entering; She continually recommended that we had to pay for everything and order with her. I think she doesn't trust her staff. The third time she told us it was annoying since she doesn't trust her clients either. I hope she finds a better way to control her leaks.

Best traditional Mexican food in the city I should say, but didn’t like my experience with the waitress. She brought us things we didn’t order. At first I thought they came with the order but no, they charged extra. And also please be careful always ask for a receipt this how I knew, she’s going to try not to bring it to you. We gave her good tip and even like that when I asked for the receipt you can tell she altered the numbers, my total was $73.. and she changed with a pen a made it look like an 8. So be careful with this. Don’t get fooled by how nice she is. I was really sad by this because the food was so delicious:( there’s was no need to be doing this. I hope the owners don’t have anything to do with this.

The food was very delicious, but they brought us rice and beans without asking for them and we thought it came with the dish. Then they charged us on the bill.

In the end they charged us 78 dollars and the total was 73 dollars, we realized this because we asked for the invoice and it was altered with a pen. The real price was 73 dollars in total and they had modified it as a 78.

This place blew my mind with its incredible food! I tried the tacos de cecina, and they were absolutely amazing. The flavors were bursting in my mouth, and the homemade tortillas were simply divine. The chefs really put their heart into those tacos!

Went here with my family to eat and when we got our food our chicken had so much black pepper and the meat. the shrimps weren’t clean fully some had poop inside it and some didn’t . Even the food wasn’t hot. the service was bad that the server only came to take our order and didn’t come back. The server didn’t even asked how good our food was and didn’t come to give us the paycheck. In reality as a Mexican that I’m nothing about as a Mexican food very testy less

We came here for dinner and loved it! Our waitress JoAnne did not steer us wrong, she suggested a few items and they were amazing, crispy fish tacos, a special coli rellano, and the different types of meats player. Everything was wonderful!! Beware, those peppers on the platter are jalapenos!! super hot!!
We loved the food and we loved JoAnne!!!

I had high expectations from this restaurant! I ordered a pancita but it was really bad, it was a very large plate but most of it was pure broth and a few pieces of pancita, so I had to order some carnitas tacos and they were delicious, although a little cold I loved that they were with tortillas Well, that makes a difference since in South Phili you don't find many like that! I think they could improve

What a shame, we had such high hopes. As a native Californian who eats a lot of Mexican and Central American, this was almost offensively bad. Everything was awful - the mole, barbacoa, even the chips.

Best mole and enchiladas I’ve ever had in Philly. Incredibly delicious guacamole as well. For the moment it’s BYOB which is nice.

Having had the barbacoa before, I expected more from this restaurant. We had the chicken red mole and pork green mole. Tasteless and inedible. Even the legendary tortillas tasted like they were leftover from earlier in the day and reheated. And don’t be fooled by their website; there is absolutely no liquor license.
