The owner moved her South Philly Barbacoa business to this place. Fantastic barbacoa tacos. Get the mix of the two meats, 0.5 kilos can feed three, order more tortillas if needed. Love their horchata drink as well!

Food is amazing. Like being in Mexico. The consommé, a big bowl with rice and chick peas, served in beautiful pottery, is a favorite. It was a perfect complement on a cold day to the Huevos à la Mexicana - a huge platter of scrambled eggs mixed with finely minced onion, tomato, and jalapeño that came with avocado, rice and beans and absolutely the best hand-made tortillas in Philly. I also liked the combo with the fresh chips that came with the meal, topped with beans and a sprinkle of cheese. A bargain lunch, considering I took home half of it. I will be back to try everything on the menu. It is so worth the 1 hour round trip trek!

One of my favourite spots in the Italian market to grab drinks and tasty food. The margarita are probably the best I've ever had! Obviously homemade mix, not overly sweet, just enough of everything. The staff are very friendly and I've had many dishes from here that were amazing!
I have done a happy hour here and there margarita drinks are delicioso. I recommend the Hibiscus Paloma. Although you can't go wrong with any other drinks here because all the juices are natural and made in house. All the tequila here is 100% agave. The bar offers free chips (made of real corn) with a little bit of refried beans and a little queso fresco. My bartender, Joanna, makes great drinks and is a wonderful hostess to the bar. The happy hour menu is pretty good including multiple choices in taco selections and a ceviche dish. My bad for not taking a pic of this menu to share with you because there is more. I have also had tacos here on another occasion. The carnitas were delicious too. In my humble opinion this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Italian/Mexican Market.
