We celebrated a birthday here with friends and family upon the recommendation of another friend. ❤️ !! Small and intimate, seating around Small brass topped tables in Mediterranean fashion.
Reservations strongly encouraged. We had the prixe fix meal (might be what's available if dining in. ) but takeout available too.
Appetizer course (FABULOUS!) was excellent.
2d course was chicken harissa or chicken lemon. We were able to get both for our party of 6. Both were excellent, super tender. Harissa was spicy but tolerable- sauce made in house.
3d course was lamb tadjine for the meat eaters and Mujaddara for the vegetarians. We all loved both but thought the Mujaddara was out of this world.
Host, Walid, was super attentive and even brought out extra when we praised the spiced carrots, Mujaddara, and then the final course of baklava.
Best baklava I've ever tasted! Served with their own homemade mint tea.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CAFE!!

My go to spot for hummus and baba - great to go for catering / bringing dips and snacks to a party for the game. Also a nice place for byob to sit in. New owners are very friendly and did a nice job making the place into a sit down establishment. I definitely recommend the falafel sandwich. Hummus. Baba. Also definitely recommend the price fix menu. It’s like zahav quality food but like a million times cheaper - so glad this place exists.

A group of us went to Casablanca for dinner. The waitress was attentive and friendly. She accommodated special requests and kept our pita basket refilled. At the end, the gregarious owner came to personally thank us and brought complimentary dessert. The meal was delicious and plentiful.

This place had been on my list for a while and it really did not disappoint. The front part of the restaurant is like a store and the side feels like you were transported to a different continent. The ambiance was beautiful inside with the colorful tapestry and the low seating.

We came in at 8pm on a Monday evening and we were seated immediately. We brought our own wine, and we ordered the spanakopita, chicken shawarma over salad and the kefta platter. The entree portions were huge and my friend and I could have easily shared a platter and been full. The food was so flavorful and delicious, the platters came with very tasty hummus and fresh tabbouleh.

I will surely be coming back here again and bring more of my friends. I feel like I stumbled upon a hidden gem. This is probably one of my favorite Mediterranean spots in philly for sure. I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

Found this restaurant by coincidence while strolling through south Philly and enjoyed what was probably the best food we’ve had in the US so far! Full and happy now ?

This place has the Middle Eastern stamp of approval! I can be a harsh critic of such familiar cuisine, but this place has to be some of the best tasting of its kind in Philly. The ambiance is casual but very inviting. If you're looking for large portions packed with flavor, this is your spot.
