Catahoula Bar & Restaurant

One of my top spots for quality creole. Visited near twelve, it was not full. The staff was friendly and sociable. Prices were appropriate. Ambience is similar to Fresno's scene.

Randomly rode past this place on a bike ride. don't know where id be if that never happened. My girlfriend and I came here a couple days after, sat out front (covid), shrimp gumbo was delicious. She ordered a catfish poboy but brought out a shrimp poboy, which they graciously boxed up for us and also gave her the catfish she originally ordered. Mistakes happen, not trippin about it. Cute neighborhood bar nestled in Queen Village. Only outdoor seating available on their patio. Masks are required to enter the building and employees all wear masks. This a good place for a Happy Hour drink with friends. We ordered appetizers (4 apps for $12) and they were pretty good. One of the apps we ordered was fried broccoli bites, but we got a mixture of fried broccoli and fried pickles.
