I'm late with the review. I got a cake for my child's birthday party, and the decoration was very beautiful. When it comes time to cut the cake... It was a disaster!! The cake was dry! Hardly any icing on the cake, and it was a thick cake. Last year I'd gotten a cake and it was also a disaster.

I wish I’d took a picture of these cupcakes. 🧁 they looked delicious but sadly they didn’t taste as good. It was as if Popeyes biscuits had a baby with there batter. It wasn’t fluffy at all and dense and it crumbled. I was slightly disappointed because they were on the expensive side but I can say that there cookies are very good the lemon drop was my favorite. I will say before you order get a cupcake and try for yourself. I still would like to try their other dessert but I will stay away from the cupcakes. The service was great as well very friendly just wished it reflected in that cupcake and I’m a cupcake connoisseur.

I went in to buy a cake and I was told all cakes need to be preordered. So I wound up not buying anything from here but the lady at the front was so nice I had to leave a five star review. I’m definitely getting my next cake from here.

I was happy my order was done but very disappointed with the taste of my cake recently ordered March 18th for March 22nd it tasted dry guests were displeased had to settle for pie and ice cream not good at all waste of money wanted to be long term and order again very angry and probably won't get a refund or something to make up this horrible experience...

I wish I could give 500000 stars. Exceptional!!! I’ve ordered multiple cakes from Cathryn’s and let me tell you, they KILLED IT EVERY TIME. Seriously, the wonderful ladies at Cathryn’s are some of the kindest, most thoughtful, and extremely talented people I know. From the second you walk in, you are welcomed with nothing but warmth and love. And they put that into everything they bake. I would send them inspiration pictures and they knock it out of the ballpark every single time. If you’re looking for custom cakes, or just a sweet treat for yourself, you will not regret your decision to come here. They’re so accommodating for dietary restrictions as well. Also, as someone who has inquired for cakes all over Philadelphia let me tell you - some places try to rip you off and sell you cakes bigger than what you need - here, they ask you how many people and tell you exactly how much you’re going to get and if you need to scale it down. They care so much about the customer and I truly think that’s what makes their products exceptional. I will be a customer for life!

It’s hit or miss. As of lately, the cake slices have been very dry. I had the banana pudding slice and I can taste the artificial banana flavor. Customer service is usually pretty good tho

For my mother's birthday party, I chose Cathryn's Cake Salon based on the reviews, and they certainly lived up to the expectations. The owner and her daughter displayed exceptional politeness, professionalism, and patience as they took my order. I was unsure of what I wanted, but their suggestions guided me to a decision. Despite the cake being somewhat expensive, it was exquisitely designed, moist, and delicious, making it a hit among the party guests. Cathryn's Cake Salon will be my first choice for future cake needs, and I highly recommend this establishment.
I am addicted to the best "Peach Cobbler" I have ever had in my life. Also, I love their Cheesecakes! Something about that crust... ?

When I pulled up to the bakery, it looked very nice and clean. The inside was just as nice and the decor was tasteful. The ladies were pleasant and helpful. I had chocolate chip cookies, my mom had the iced pound cake. My sister had a muffin, I think it was coffee cake. Everyone enjoyed their pastry, No complaints. Also I read the reviews before entering the establishment. It’s a way to critique without being critically harsh. This is a black establishment that’s own by a black woman I believe. Let’s try to lift our black business owners up. If you don’t like something, be tactful in the manner you share that. Also if you don’t like one item, you might like something else they make. In my religion I’m taught, if you want mercy, give mercy. Also if the baker has a recipe for gingerbread (cake), my family will definitely buy that. No one makes that any more
