Parking is yet another challenge in the Philadelphia area, so side-street parking may be available (metered, maybe)

Chang San is a true hidden gem. The flavors are bold, authentic, and always satisfying. Every dish I’ve tried has been delicious—from the Szechuan chicken to the seafood combo and garlic sauce specials. The portions are generous, the prices are super reasonable (most dishes under $10!), and the variety on the menu is outstanding.
One of the highlights is the kind and welcoming lady at the front desk. She’s always smiling, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. If you want to be treated with respect and feel confident about the food you’re eating, Chang San is the place to go.
It’s hard to find Chinese food that feels this homemade and high-quality without the high prices. If you’re in Philly and craving Chinese, Chang San should absolutely be your go-to spot.

This place does not look like the food I received. THIS FOOD WAS SOOOO DELICIOUS!!!!!! Shrimp was cleaned out fresh and nice size. THERE WAS VEGETABLES IN MY SHRIMP IN GARLIC SAUCE. THE LADY AT TJE WINDOW WAS VERY NICE. SO SWEET AND VERY FRIENDLY. WILL BE GOING BACK THERE!!!!!!!!!! 10/10

Always fresh, crispy chicken wings!!!! My favorite chinese restaurant in south philadelphia. The woman behind the counter is always so polite to me (she always gives me chopsticks when i ask). Keep up the good work!!! this Chinese store is a prime example of, you can’t judge a book by its cover because from the outside you wouldn’t think the food would be so great but when you receive your first order, you’re gonna know they know how to complete the assignment

A decent Chinese food restaurant that has everything. Especially the 1/2 fried chicken. Almost every Chinese food restaurant in philadelphia don't serve 1/2 fried chicken. And this is the only one. Or one of the few that serves it.
Overall experience was good, quick service but it was the worst Chinese food I had in my life. It taste very American with no flavor and the sesame chicken did not taste
