I want to like this place but there are some things holding it back
It has the most uncomfortable chairs of all time, seriously unusable, not sure if this is a strategy to try to get people not to stay too long but you guys should really just get some normal chairs
Secondly it feels dirty, visible dirt on the walls and pests running around, just take a couple hours every month to do a deep clean or something, I don’t think this is that hard
The lighting could be improved, feels dingy in some areas
I appreciate the later hours and the rotating art on display

The most over sweetened chai tea latte I’ve had in my life. Biscotti was stale, can’t recommend.
Always a pleasure! The baristas are so sweet and I’ve never had a bad drink here. I just wish it wasn’t so dark inside or that there was more outdoor space.

Great neighborhood cafe with good smoothies and friendly staff. As a plus, there’s basement seating that is quieter (no music) than the first level if you need to lock in 🫡 There are a few stool chairs in front of the cafe if you want to sit outside.

We didn’t have a great experience at chapterhouse unfortunately. We stopped in to grab a quick coffee and tee before getting in line at Angelo’s down the block. It was super disorganized and the barista was just chatting with a friend instead of taking orders then was rude to my wife about where to stand for the line and where to wait after. It is a small space but has no signage and the lines wouldn’t grow so much if they were more efficient. Once we finally got our drinks my wife didn’t enjoy hers much and the lid popped off and was just a cheaper paper one that got deformed and the lid wouldn’t snap back on and just bent the cup. My tea was fine hard to mess up a bag of tea. Overall we wouldn’t stop again.

My second time here while visiting Philly and always a pleasant experience. Friendly staff and fast service! They always have creative drinks that aren’t too sweet. So much room to sit and catch up with a friend

The melange latte was fantastic. Loved that the cafe embraces the vibe of the neighborhood. The chairs were great for those under 40.
