Viraj wields the pizza peel like a samurai — calm, focused, deadly precise. Jake runs the front like a general — smooth command, no wasted motion. Menu changes often (in a good way), but the service stays solid every time. Food? Never misses. Atmosphere? Amazing. We always pull up to the bar and trade stories with Viraj while we watch a master at work.
I've been there a bunch, but tonight I asked for the whole staff to sign a hat because I feel like I'm watching legends in the making.
Real talk: this spot’s more of a culinary dojo than a restaurant. Respect the slice brother.

The service at this place is dismal! I’ve tried to eat from this restaurant twice now and I’ve given up. The first time I ordered takeout, showed up an hour later as instructed and they’d forgotten to put my order in and asked if I could wait another 40 minutes!
Second time I put my name in at 7pm for dine in service thinking I’d have better luck, but was told the wait would be an hour, hung around way too long, never got a call and they close at 9pm!

Drove from Long Island for this pizza and it was really great. Definitely would come back!! Viraj is so sweet and down to earth. Fun Guy was my favorite!

Finally got to dine in last night and it was a great experience!
Once you're seated, you're given a menu to decide what to order. You do have to order at the back of the restaurant, not at your table.
We ordered the meatballs for our appetizers which came out very quick. They had a crunchy coating and were soft and flavorful.
The pies do take a bit of time to come out but are well worth the wait! We really enjoyed the Margherita and Fun Guy (pictured here). Don't forget to order some crust dip to finish off your last bites of amazingly crunchy crust. We tried the whipped ricotta, so good!
Will definitely be coming back.

Too long of a wait and margarita pizza was not good and too burnt
The pepperoni pizza with hot honey was incredible sweet, spicy, and perfectly crisp. Grant was awesome and gave the best service. Definitely coming back.

Simply put, this is the best pizza in Philadelphia. Yes I know about Angelos and Del Rossi’s and they’re both great but Char is better. The only issue here is wait times. They only make 3 pizzas at a time so the later you arrive the longer you’ll wait. 10/10

We had such an amazing experience CHAR! Our daughter and her boyfriend frequent the place and we were in town for her birthday celebration. Even though it was very busy, we were treated as personal guests. The waitstaff was personable and the owner really treated us as if we came there every week. No one ever seemed rushed to get to the next table, in fact, the owner stopped and had a full conversation getting to know us. The food was amazing as well! We had the best kale salad ever, the meatballs, the fun guy pizza and the vodka sauce pizza. Evvverything was amazing, the kind of place where you know you'll be back! We hear the tomato pie is out of this world, but we were too full to attempt it. To top it off, the owner made our daughter a birthday desert and the staff joyfully sang happy birthday! An amazing place and one we will definitely remember!

Quite possibly the best pizza in the Philly area! The crust is absolute perfection - wood burning pizza oven. High quality ingredients. We sat at the bar and watched the multiple steps that go into making each pizza - pre and post oven. Also, great corn ice cream for dessert. Looking forward to coming back to try the Funghi pizza.

The hype is real. The pizza is just consistently good every time. Viraj knows his stuff. Keep In mind it’s a small wood oven so if it gets busy you may have a longer wait for your pizza but just make sure you bring a bottle of wine or two, order the kale Caesar to start, and just relax. It’s worth it.Also, no one is talking about the ice cream. The ice cream is my favorite soft serve.
