Quite possibly the worst meal I've ever had. I knew the concept was different, but hoped it would work. It doesn't.
I wanted to really love DaVinci & Yu, especially since my husband and I loved flannel. My husband and I were very disappointed in everything we ordered. I also didn't care for their cocktails.
The service was great and unfortunately the only memorable part of the restaurant. The idea of the fusion restaurant was great but execution was a bit lacking. We thought it was a bit odd our drinks were served out of plastic drinkware and it wasn't packed on a Friday night during peak dinner time. On paper the food sounded intriguing, but there wasn't anything we ate that seemed in line with the price paid. We expected the dishes to be more elevated. The orange chicken parm is a regular chicken parm dish with orange peel garnish and boxed pasta.
The Food did not disappoint! We tried a few dishes like the Black Cod Dumplings, Cacio E Pepe E Miso, Korean BBQ brisket, Ball Bao, and the Lamb Neck. Huge thanks to the kitchen staff—clearly some serious talent back there turning out amazing dishes. And shoutout to our server Louis, who was basically a menu wizard and helped us make all the right picks. First time here, but definitely not the last!
went to Davinci and Yu on a Sunday night after seeing a piece on the restaurant on "FYI Philly"...the food was incredible (and the pricing was reasonable!). Waitress was very helpful and attentive. we will be back
Food was ok. Asian with Italian fusion doesn't seem to work in harmony with the entrees that we got. The brisket was average and the duck meatballs were tasty. The appetizers were better. Black cod dumplings were excellent. The service was outstanding. Our server was accommodating and patient. We were all impressed with the attention and detail. We will try the brunch and excited for the chicken and waffles. See you soon.
This was an unforgettable meal! Every dish was a 10! Friendly service, incredible fusion foods, and even had a great conversation with the owner. Would recommend to anyone!!
Lovely gem of a restaurant! Cool decor. Our server Jamie was fabulous. I felt like I was with my best friend. Food was good, needs a little refining to drive the Italian/Asian theme home. For example, the cannoli was not well executed. Perhaps a ginger filling? Just a thought. Loved the ube espresso martini!
Great new restaurant! Service was courteous and quick. They have an ube espresso martini that is unique and delicious! The shrimp toast, Kung pao bao buns, cacio e pepe miso, Duck Meatballs over upon noodles, Orange chicken parm and Adobo Stinco are all must orders. The flavors go together so well, what a great concept! I can't wait to go back!
The food, atmosphere and servers was fantastic. The food is great if you want something hearty, great for hangovers too. Server was very attentitive and took our order while considering some modifications. The atmosphere is very cozy, feels like as you were in a cabin up by the mountains.
Parking: Street parking is challenging, since you are in south philly, it is quite difficult to find a open spot on the street

Cool place but servers ignore you and I had to pour my own water. Been here for 20 minutes and nobody has come to check up on us. Had high hopes but this place was a disappointment, just overpriced breakfast
Quaint spot for a hearty bite - the bartender was absolutely delightful despite us not realizing how close to close it was, and so very friendly. Wide variety of cocktails, lots of options, all excellently mixed - be sure to give the Philly Jabroni a try (Negroni adaptation, cute name). Fried pickles were classic, molasses mustard was groundbreaking. Brisket grilled cheese was delicious, although the amount of oil did make it rather wet. Coleslaw was unlike any I've had before, very sweet and what seemed like sour cream as the mixer? Unorthodox but DELICIOUS. As a North Carolina transplant living in Philly, I am happy to tell you this place is SOUTHERNER APPROVED 🙌

Another trip to one of my favorites. Every dish is full of flavor and the cooking is impeccable. We got the Maple Dry Rub wings and the Big Momma Brisket, it was a brisket steak. Moist, deep with flavor and great balance with the pickles onions and Cole slaw

Went here for dinner. It was a little above mid. 3.7/5
However, lower now because my wife and I tried to come for breakfast. We call ahead, ask if there is a wait. Lady says "no", we tell her we want to put our name down so that we can have a table. She tells us not to worry because we are 5 minutes away.
We get there in 3 minutes and are told "we just sat 5 tables"
We try to explain but we're told "we can't predict the future."
Yes, hence why we wanted to put our name down.
Also asking if "we are fast eaters" is wild
Food is always on point but the service the last two times have been ok. My partner and I were sat in the corner back and went probably 25 minutes without having someone come to our table. Finally someone came and took our order but never saw our waiter again until I had to flag him down to tell him for the check. Same thing happened the second time in the same spot so wondering if it’s just where we are placed that makes it hard to see? It was not packed either. Everything else was good and worth going if your a fan of southern food.
