After hearing my friend raved about how good this place was I had to come try it out myself. I love Japanese shabu shabu. I would say you definitely get what you paid for. Although the selection of ingredients is smaller than other all you can eat hot pot place but I prefer quality over quantity. The quality of the beef here is definitely much higher quality and even though it’s pricier then other all you can eat hot pot I would still highly recommend this place. We choose the $55 option and bought the membership for $28 for a year which covers 2 people and reduce the price from $55 to $48 per person. So even if you decide to come 2x a year you already break even and also on the day of your birthday I was told you can get the basic option for free and if you want the higher option you would pay the difference. The price also includes unlimited bottle drinks which is a plus. There is a sauce bar where you can make your own sauce but I decided to just get the raw egg and dip my beef into the egg. It’s amazing. I now understand how my friend went back 2x within 3 days. Because I can’t stop thinking about how good that beef and egg is. Can’t wait to go back. Also when you choose the $55 option everyone get to pick 1 speciality item from the menu. We enjoyed the bone marrow and the wagyu beef tartar the most. The sweet shrimp was just ok it didn’t taste so fresh. You also get a seafood platter (no refill) but per person you get 2 shrimp, an oyster, an abalone, 2 pieces of scallops, like 2-3 pieces of fish and a crab leg so it’s a decent portion 🤤🤭

Honestly, I wasn't impressed. The 85% of the hot experience makes broth, and here we picked 2 different ones, and they tasted kinda the same.
💲Pricy for sure. Will I return, no.

the food was very good and we felt it. its a bit expensive and they tell you the price for members, while non members prices are written smaller in not in the forfront, took us by surprise.

There was an issue with the tip tablet thing, which caused us to pay more tip that we wanted it, which is annoying.

On Valentine's Day, the two of us ordered the diamond set meal, which cost 98 yuan per person, more than 200 yuan plus tax. We ordered three servings of beef bone marrow. The very small girl with long hair wearing braces started to ignore us and rolled her eyes to the sky. Can't she afford to do this? Speechless.

They will give you Australian wagyu when you request the Japanese ones and pay for the most expensive tier!! I’ve been there three times, all diamond tier menu, and only ordered their Japanese wagyu for beef. The last I was there; I am so disappointed at the declining beef quality (I ordered the same things every single time). We confirmed with the waiter/waitress a few times when we were there. They explicitly said the plates were the good Japanese wagyu (the limited ones on other tier). My boyfriend and I thought that’s problem with inconsistent food quality; turns out, as they stated in their own respond in our other review, they gave us the wrong kind. This is all about integrity and credibility. I am very frustrated as this is an AYCE restaurant and they are pricy.

My very first time trying hot pot and it was delicious! We were able to pick two different broths, assorted veggies and meats, plus appetizers, the tempura shrimp was on point and everything was unlimited. There is a time limit however we were full way before our time expired. Would definitely visit again.

I’ve been to a couple different iterations of chubby cattle since 2018 and each time it changes I’m a little more disappointed. The side dishes are okay (mushy rice) and the sauce condiments are limited in comparison to other hot pots. The house broth is so much less flavorful than it’s been in the past. The vegetable options are limiting and the meat is good but it doesn’t make up for the entire experience. Honestly the entire time my party was lamenting the loss of prior experiences here.

Also—There’s too much of a focus on joining their app. Which also sucks by the way. I was a member previously and accrued nearly 1000 points (gone now) that could be redeemed for soju, etc, but now can only be used at the bar for sushi rolls.

Don’t even get me started on the fact that the table now hosts only one shallow pot that holds only two soup bases. Which means if you bring 3 people you won’t be able to get a soup base for each individual.

Rest in peace chubby cattle conveyor belt that was a bop. I brought my kids to enjoy it but they all were disappointed that they didn’t get to see the sushi train.

Overall, I will likely be done with my Chubby Cattle journey. I only selected two stars because I like the memories and one star may get ignored as a disgruntled customer.

They’ve recently renovated here and turned it into more of the mikiya AYCE hotpot style which I loveee. Fresh and quality seafood and meats! Sauce bar and drinks bar was a bit lacking but I’m fine with that. Very convenient place to have in Philly so that I won’t need to be traveling to NY for hotpot now.

We tried to go there but we waited for a seat for 45 minutes. They told us they didn’t have a table, but many people were seated while we waited. I was hoping for a new culinary experience but they ruined it. Their customer service is terrible.

The environment, service and taste here are all very good. My family and I like it very much and will definitely come again. I particularly like the Japanese A5 Wagyu beef!
