I liked it. It's across the street from Dalessandro's. Dalessandro's has lines 40 deep outside the place. Chubby's has no lines. I know this about a cheese steak - the bread matters. The bread at Chubby's is on point. The sandwich was solid. Melted white American.
It also has a full bar on the inside - which was unexpected and cool.
I've never eaten at the place across the street. I don't know if it was worth the wait those people waited. My sandwich did not disappoint. So I'm not feeling bad about not waiting in line with 40 other folks

Place for chicken cheesesteak. Buffalo chicken cheesesteak excellent
I was able to park in their lot, and was able to get a table quickly inside. There were arou d 12 other patrons when I came in. I order curley fries, and a cheese steak with onions, peppers, and cheese whiz. I do t thinl it took more than 5 minutes before I got my food! The portions were a bigger than expected. The food was hot, fresh, and tasted great! The quality was excellent! I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in Philadelphia.

Curly fries are top tier! The fact they have parking and take card is a plus. I wish they had more vegetarian options listed, but I'm sure they'll work with you if you ask

Once the best, what a downward slide. This was our go-to since the month they opened. Always top quality beef and well-built sandwiches. On today’s visit—the first in a couple of months—we were profoundly dissatisfied and disappointed. The steaks had gristly and tasteless beef. What happened? A worker confirmed that they changed their supplier. Also, they went from cheese slices to cheese sauce. This left a messy, runny blob of a sandwich in our basket rather than the past outstanding cheesesteak we had grown used to. We walked out with a $40 bill and two half-eaten sandwiches left on the table. Sorry, Chubbys, you just lost two longtime customers.

Always top-notch meat, we’ve never had a piece of gristle. Huge sandwiches, lots of choices. The servers are hurried but generally responsive and polite. This is my first choice for cheesesteaks in Philly bar none.
