Curly fries are top tier! The fact they have parking and take card is a plus. I wish they had more vegetarian options listed, but I'm sure they'll work with you if you ask

Once the best, what a downward slide. This was our go-to since the month they opened. Always top quality beef and well-built sandwiches. On today’s visit—the first in a couple of months—we were profoundly dissatisfied and disappointed. The steaks had gristly and tasteless beef. What happened? A worker confirmed that they changed their supplier. Also, they went from cheese slices to cheese sauce. This left a messy, runny blob of a sandwich in our basket rather than the past outstanding cheesesteak we had grown used to. We walked out with a $40 bill and two half-eaten sandwiches left on the table. Sorry, Chubbys, you just lost two longtime customers.
[past review] I’m not sure why there’s always a line across the street for the other joint, when Chubbys is a better choice. Get with it, cross the street for a better steak! Always top-notch meat, we’ve never had a piece of gristle. Huge sandwiches, lots of choices. The servers are hurried but generally responsive and polite. This is my first choice for cheesesteaks in Philly bar none.

Honestly the food was fine, not exceptional. Would have been fine if the staff wasn’t rude and yelling at customers. Multiple people were having trouble with the bathroom door, or were waiting outside thinking it was locked because it wouldn’t open right. From the bar multiple servers yelled over me to say “Open the door bud, god it’s not that hard!” Genuinely rude in my opinion and they said this to multiple customers. Don’t work in customer service if you are going to talk to people like that.

Drove up from Bmore for family vacation and definitely wanted to try a philly cheesesteak. So I initially was going to the spot across from Chubby's and decided to do both. My wife took one bite and made me turn around and go back to get another one lol. Best cheesesteak we've ever had no question. Was very disappointed in the other spot.

I ordered a plain chicken steak with mayo, salt,pepper, pickles, and hots the sandwich just taste like meat no flavor just some meat not cut up good. The fries was okay because they were not hot by the time they put the order in the bag and I got to my car. The service was bad because the girl at register charging me for stuff I did not order also getting other orders wrong. I didn't get my soda or the difference in the price back.Over charge and manager not available or no one to help. This my first time in awhile visiting this place and my last. Not happy over charge and food was a waste of money. Clumps of meat and no taste.

Best cheese steak in Philly! They don't skimp on the meat. Delicious!
I'll start with the positives- the cheesesteaks are huge! I probably could have split one between 3 people. The onion rings were crispy and delicious. Now, the not so good- Maybe I don't know what a legit Philly cheesesteak is supposed to taste like, but the beef was dry, the hoagie buns tasted like they had been thawed from frozen in a microwave, and the whiz tasted like ballpark nacho cheese. Personally, I'd take a sandwich from Penn Station over this.
Several other reviews mentioned that the service was great, and the staff much more pleasant here, but that must be one low bar. Our server could have been an extra in The Walking Dead. Nothing but the bare minimum level of service. The food overall was okay, but we unfortunately left disappointed.
