Cosmic Café and Ciderhouse

The worst place ever. Die to the fact that i assualted this morning by their very own janitor. So as i was enjoying my breakfast and playing some games on my phone this rude pile of crap has come to me to demand that i move because im in the way of him blowing dirt around .. si i said no you can work around me so he says ok fine and points the blower at my face and is blowing dirt into my food and myself. Now this is not the only time he has come to me with rude comments. First time it was the bathroom. He said i was taking to long . I was only in there 5 mins. One time it was me charging my phone. Said i was to blame for the outlets being blown out. Im not going to stop here and this is just minor details about this janitor. Because i dont have the time to write more. I will go to great lengths until this man is arrested for assaulting me with his leaf blower or terminated. I should be able to enjoy my day peacefully. I expect to hear back asap

Friendly staff, but the food was not very good (especially for the price). Has the cosmic hoagie and the combo wrap; the chicken on both were so dry. The worst part of the experience was the flies (inside and outside). We thought they were maybe just hovering by a certain section, but we tried the different tables and they just followed us. Not sure if it would've been better upstairs, as there was some sort of event upstairs, so we were not allowed to eat up there.

They also have a water jug outside for people to fill up their own cups/bottles. Saw some jogger run up and just take a swig directly from the tap. Disgusting.

It's a shame because it's a nice location, with a good concept. The food quality just isn't great, and the flies are absolutely horrible.

*Wow, what a snide response. A) you can use good quality chicken, and still ruin it by overcooking it (hence, the dry chicken in both meals), B) you can try to control the flies that are inside your kitchen and dining areas (and probably control the outdoor insects to an extent, by choosing not to compost so close to the dining area). Great customer service with that response, though. 👍

I did not eat here today, but I did explore the menu options. I talked with the staff who were very friendly. i forgot my readers and a staff member offered his, how nice was that!? They do have vegan options. They also have fresh pressed juices and smoothies. In the near future, I will do a food review as they do have some things that I like, but in the meantime, here’s some pictures and videos.

Closed the bathroom 10 minutes early, told us to use a porta potty, was very rude!

nice place to rest after some sport along the river. you can seat i front of the water. they have an offer that I like: for 5 dollars you can have ice coffe or ice tea or lemonade with refills. there is livemusic sometimes.

Stopped here midday for a breakfast sandwich. It was excellent and served by a very nice man. Great stop for a quality meal on the trail.

Cosmic is a family favorite for us! Peg and her team are so kind and we also love supporting the Cosmic Foundation. The food is always delicious! You can’t go wrong with a breakfast burrito, loaded bagel, or any of the weekly specials! There’s lots of outdoor seating as well as a quiet upstairs space. Bonus: the cafe is dog friendly!

Really awesome dog friendly cafe. Have light food like cookies, hamburgers, ice cream and tons of other food in the menu. Also this food are tasty and here is the best place over the river to drink coffe and eat in romantic atmosphere in center!

The two pastries I had were like something off a church pot luck in the 90s and the Brownie did not look or taste like chocolate whatsoever. It's time for them to step up their game in a competitive market, especially because the location is cool.
