I got down there and spent my “shmoney” with her lol. I was able to go to the Fresh Grocer in PA to get a taste of Saudia Shuler’s famous Country Cooking. I purchased a platter; 4 sides and a few cold cases ?. THE FOOD IS AMAZING! I felt like I was back at my aunties house for a bbq. Everything was fresh and clean and sooo gooood. I went around 2pm and it was a bit busy. I saw Ms. Saudia sitting at a table speaking with guests and the atmosphere was a vibe within itself. The food was priced fairly, I mean she’s serving 16-18 oz of seafood salad, that is unheard of. Every bite had shrimp and crabmeat. Everything especially the yams were just rich and flavorful. Now! The Mac & Cheese or as ppl call it “eggaroni & cheese”. Well it was BUSSIN BUSSIN! I mean it tasted just like my grandma Moes God rest her soul. There wasn’t a long wait, and the staff was friendly. I was very pleased with the food overall. I also seen the CEOs wife Mrs. Sandy, everyone was so down to earth and kind. I will definitely be back again, with more friends so they can help me carry food out lol. I stayed anonymous & everything was wonderful. This place is awesome.
She isn’t at this location anymore, she’s located in the fresh grocer on monument. I didn’t get to try all her food because I was rushing to meet my friends and the line was long. We had came from nyc for a event and I said to myself there was no way I was gonna be in Philly and not get Saudi’s food I got several containers of the seafood salad and the potato salad and they didn’t disappoint!! You can tell she/staff take their time I had got a cooler full of the salads and after eating a-few I was mad I didn’t buy more.
Country Cooking is no longer located at this location on 22nd St., hasn't been for awhile. Head on over to the Fresh Grocer on Monument Rd off of City Ave.I don't live in NP any longer but I still stopped thru to get some good soul food from Saud at Country Cooking ?Even though she's missed on 22nd St, the Fresh Grocer location is just right. The buffet setup was a good idea. I just wish all the same food was on each side of the buffet so you don't have to reach way over the other food to get the tongs. My last visit I got shrimp and grits with that delicious fried fish and some green beans. The other platter had whole fried wings, mac & cheese and yams....those yams are entirely too sweet, so I won't get them again. My other faves are the seafood salad and potato salad located in open fridge section by the patio.Don't expect those huge hefty platters anymore for a flat price, you'll definitely be paying double now since they are now weighed.
I got a to-go platter from Fresh Grocer. I was so excited. NOT 1 compliant I have. Nothing was too salty. I tried the fried fish, mac and cheese, some sweet chili pepper chicken (i didn’t catch the name) and oxtails. It was sooooo gooood. I cannot wait to try more.
Love this Place, been here twice within a 3 year span. Im coming from Newark NJ so its a bit of a ride but whenever i do touch Philly i will be looking to go to this place. Now shes located in a Grocery Store, which is smart and shes taking over in there. You can tell ever since she been in there the oriental people hate on her business lol. Keep it up Saud!!!
Stopped here in the way from Atlantic City bc I had to come try this food. I’ve been following Saud on social media since she brought Dubai to Philly. The food was amazing! Everything was on point. The seafood salad is famous for a reason, you hear me?! It was ???. I wish we would of bought more. The Mac & cheese, breast bites & fish are top tier. The j*** chicken is spicy but sooo good. The shrimp & grits was ?? & the yams. We tried pretty much everything. Just get some of everything bc Saud doesn’t miss. I even got to meet her so I’m over the moon. I’ll be back the next time I’m out east!
Ever since she moved out the hood the food has been trash… it’s too basic it’s like there’s no soul in it anymore… highly disappointed
My husband went to her location on city line Ave in the fresh grocer. I was yelling at my husband because he didn't think to bring me a plate back. We all ate his platter.
My first time trying her food... one thing I can say is the food was good just a little over seasoned and the sweet potatoes were too sweet...
I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the turkey wings I be wanting oxtails but everytime I get a chance to go she don’t have them I be erked but the turkey wings are amazing

employees were so rude!!!!!!! The food is too salty!!! To be serving African Americans! This should be a No No! High Blood Pressure!!!! The food is good!!!! Just too salty! Even the string beans!! So much salt!!! Accent!!!
The cooking is good but her employees are very disrespectful I asked a question multiple time and the employee ignored me then got smart with me. Other than that customer service 5 stars
I eat here often and the food is always good. Always so much left over. Very good quality
