Bro. The service was disgusting and rude. The food took forever, wasn’t even good. And they have a fee for every single thing they can think of. You’ll be paying a monthly grocery bill for one plate of food. I’m never going back and I’ll be advising people to steer clear of this place.

It’s BYOB, which is fine. However, you also have to pay to bring your own beverages in and pay for glasses. My sister had a long hair cooked into her food and another friend’s steak was supposed to be medium well and it was severely overcooked. When the steak situation was brought to the waiter, he tried to gaslight her into believing that her rubbery, chewy, overcooked steak was medium. There was no pink on that steak. Overall, I won’t go back. Ever. The manager, Aliyah was nice, but the staff’s lack of effort to rectify the issues was not okay. 0/10. Highly do NOT recommend.

This place has fallen off. Automatic 20% gratuity for lack luster service. And then we unknowingly gor charged 10 a person just ...to be there? And they wouldn't take off even though at no point were we told we would be charged

I celebrated my birthday with a Boozy Tea Party-themed brunch at Cray Taste in Old City, which offered a social club vibe at a reasonable price. Justin, the owner, was very accommodating, allowing me to host up to 15 guests with various party package options. Cray Taste is BYOB establishment with corkage fees for liquor and wine.

The wings and fish and grits I ordered were flavorful, but my friends had mixed experiences with their food. Some dishes lacked seasoning, and one guest’s cheesesteak appetizer was delayed, though compensated with extra portions. The standout dish was the chicken and shrimp Rasta pasta.

The overall vibe of the brunch was great, thanks to attentive customer service and a DJ that kept the energy high with hit after hit. While Cray Taste is closing their Old City location on October 27th, I’ll definitely be visiting their new spot. For the food, I’d give it a 7/10, but the brunch experience as a whole gets a solid 10/10.

First I’ll start by saying I do plan on going again. I enjoyed my food and I enjoyed the attentiveness of the servers. The music was going good and the DJ kept the atmosphere fun.

I would recommend LOWERING the LOUDNESS OF THE MUSIC during brunch. If you’re coming from the club on Saturday your ears will not get a break with how loud the music is playing. It felt like being in the club except during the daylight hours. We asked multiple times could it be turned down due to the placement of the speakers near our 6+ person table. It was difficult trying to even talk across the table (earplugs saved me). We asked multiple times too could the football game be put on while we waited for our food. You can’t enjoy a movie playing on screen if you can’t hear anything, but surely a football game can be viewed in lieu of Friday the movie. The game was never put on after 4 times of asking (we were there for more than an 1:30hrs).

As long as staff have a solid game plan for getting orders out in a timely fashion everything is decent. Other reviews recommend improving some dishes. Check them out for options. The bottle service charge for a BYOB is confusing since other brunch places do not charge $20+. If you’re encouraging people bring their own alcohol another charge on top of it is unsettling. Very nickel and dime type behavior from mgmt.

This spot is not be a brunch destination for kids. It’s very adult in music and clothing. You are warned lol.

Like I said I will return and give it another try 🤞🏾.
-Turn the music down for the sake of customers being able to effect fun and enjoyable conversation.
-Stream line food orders effectively in the kitchen.
-Review others experience with the food and order wisely.
-NSFW or NSFKids given music or dress if you care about that.

This place was okay. The red velvet waffle could be better. The chicken was good and the Mac/cheese was dry. The main reason as to why I gave it two stars is because Chef Smith brought me a hookah for $45 that only last for LITERALLY 15 mins. He brought another coal for it but it was freakin dead. Such a waste of money. I regret getting it. But the complimentary shrimp was really good. Out of towners (two of us) and we were the only ones there at 12/1 on a Friday so be aware of the time and day you come

My experience was AWESOME from start to finish. The Cray Bang shrimp are beyond delicious!! Maybe the Cray is short for Crazy. They are crazy good! The appetizers are all so delicious that it's hard to make it to the main course. The cheese steak rolls deserve a special shout-out! The lamb with sauteed cheesey spinach and mash potatoes was Five Stars! That dish alone could support the menu! The taste unbelievable! Our server TaiJay was thorough, polite, and attentive. I actually met the owner and chef extraordinaire Chef Smiff who made us feel at home. Thank you to Connell and the Cray Taste family for all the hospitality.
