We ordered 4 hot dogs on December 5th. We just sat down to start to eat one and my mom (in the bathroom) asked for one. Not joking, 30 seconds later, the women refused to make a 5th hot dog because it was 3:01 pm. She pointed to the sign and said they weren't serving them anymore. It took her maybe 2 minutes to heat the hot dogs from the original order up. We had only got them a minute before. Absolutely bad service. NOTE: THEY DONT CLOSE AT 3PM. ONLY THEIR "SPECIALS" ARE UNTIL 3PM. Not 3:01...

The very rude women debbie working here refused to serve my wife a hot dog because it was 3:01 yet she served the very next group of three women. With no problems.I will never eat at this place again. She is now yelling st me to leave for writing a bad review and asking for her name

Food was fine enough, but the server had a terrible attitude and refused to give my mother service despite literally just serving the four of us and a whole separate group. Spend your money somewhere else where it's wanted.

Simple cafe. Somewhat reasonable prices. Very reasonable for a museum cafe. Very friendly staff. Offered great advice for the area.

The tour bus I was on was planning on visiting the Cross Keys Cafe do lunch before touring the Museum of the American Revolution. Our trip leader called AHEAD to Cross Keys a few days before to know we would be coming. When we got there, there was not very much food to choose from and I was one of the first people in. As more people came in, they did not have food to purchase, so they ended up with chips or ice cream. The girl behind the register kept saying she wasn’t aware we were coming and she could take a break to restock. She never took that break. I ended up with a homemade “Lunchable”, which was less than stellar. If I am ever in the area again, I would not return to Cross Keys Cafe.

We took our 11 year old son to the Musuem as he is a huge Revolutionary War buff. Being newly diagnosed as Celiac, we cautioned him that we may not be able to find anything "safe" to eat as a quick snack in the cafe. Much to our astonishment, the menu board offered several options of gluten free items, as well as a section on a shelf of gluten free snacks. Price was expected given the location, but his excitement at eating a gluten free personal pizza was well worth it. We alerted the woman at the counter that he had celiac and she was extremely careful to ensure no cross contamination - and he didn't get sick! Thank you for offering these gluten free items and for making an amazing musuem experience end in an even more positive way!

Unfortunately I did not have the best service here. Staff was busy orienting new members of staff at the time I visited so I waited several minutes to purchase a coffee and a cooler item. This is a nice space with decent foods to purchase such as soups and sandwiches. I just had a blah experience, one I don’t want to replicate.

I had a meal here after visiting the museum, and it was a good experience especially considering it is a cafe in the museum. I came at about 11:20 am. I had the egg and cheese on an English muffin and added bacon, which was $6. It was a great deal, they put a lot of bacon on it, and it was really crispy. It was toasted and warm and better than most breakfast sandwiches you'd get in a restaurant. I also got a hot tea, which was $2 (much cheaper than the bottled soda that was $3.25). They was a nice selection of teas to choose from. I was happy, and the cafe was really comfortable overall.

About half way through our tour of the museum, we decided to stop for a bite to eat. The place was spotless and the staff was friendly. You can get a fairly good assortment of quality food at a reasonable price. It's better than most museum cafes.

I ate here twice for lunch, using the grab & go section. Had a delicious egg salad sandwich on a croissant. They also offer egg, tuna and chicken salads in a cup, without the carbs. The yogurt parfait was delicious. It was a quick, clean place to eat while touring the historic part of the city. Had better offerings than other Grab & Go places that I checked out.

Typical fare people review and I say who cares? Not all food is in a plastic wrapper which I liked. You could get an egg muffin that was prepared for $5! How reasonable and not just a donut! Warm and reasonable food, cold cold drinks, free wi-fi, clean as a whistle, warm environment and cute. Its a Cafe by God. I liked it. The service was pleasant and helpful.
