Had the Philly dip steak with fries at lunch and it was fantastic! It came with various dipping sauces and each one was amazing. The only thing I would say needed improvement while sitting at the bar was service, was ignored and never really asked if I needed anything until I was done eating.. this is a beautiful place and the atmosphere was great, easy to talk to others as it’s not too loud.

Our host was great. Patricia was our server she was great. My girlfriend enjoyed her espresso martini alot the pepperoni pizza we order was great tasting light, flavorful thin crusted. The cooks did a great job. We enjoyed our lunch her. Dinning inside or outside available but we dined in.

Went here on a whim looking for something a little nicer for dinner, but not necessarily something I need to dress up a bit for.
Place was great, cocktails were awesome and the steak frites was perfect. We did get sat towards the back and we were worried we'd get forgotten about (happens a lot when you're in a weird spot) but nope. To my surprise we were checked on just the right amount and our server was super nice. Will be back.

We ate here at least 4 times for an evening meal on our recent visit to Philadelphia as well as going to Happy Hour. What a great place. From the helpfulness of the staff including the personal attentiveness of James the manager, what's not to like about this charming and atmospheric tavern. The lighting was great too and creates just the right mood. The food was excellent. Who said the best fish and chips are British. I can confidently say that as I am a Brit, and I have eaten many F&C's in my life but none as delicious as these. The batter was so light and not greasy and served with great fries and an added twist of Asian ginger slaw. Delicious! My partner had the half roast chicken and said it was lovely too as well as the great burger on another occasion. Good choice of wines and spirits too. Will definitely return next time we are in Philly.

My daughters first real trip to Philly was cool. We ate at Darlings and were very pleased. Our server was cordial and the food was a hit. Only drawback was the spicy Paloma. Will make this a reg when return to the City of Brotherly Love. Great location but saw how it gets crowded so recommend making reservations if your party is larger than two.
