Omg. Much better than I would have imagined. I was craving brisket. I don't expect much from a small shop like this, but it was probably better than most restaurants I've been to. The brisket sandwich was delicious! The bread was soft, the brisket was beyond tender with the perfect amount of fat for flavor. The cornbread was warm and moist. And the young lady who assisted me was very kind. Keith Lee himself would be very impressed.

Im currently at the restaurant, placed and online order or pickup. I stood at the counter for an uncomfortable amount of time without being acknowledged. Three people behind the counter shouting about football but walking right past all the customers. Just pick your head up and say “ ill be with you in a moment” literally anything. If I hadnt already paid for the pick up, I would leave.Update: the food was decent but didn’t make up for the lousy customer service. Go to sweet Lucy’s

Dekes is a no frills BBQ. They have some amazing and tender brisket. I have the Brisket Cheesesteak a go and was not disappointed.

Parking: There are a few free spots to the side of the building. Otherwise you can park across the street at the UA Movie Theater and walk over.

We have been ordering from Deke's since we first tried them at their manayunk location maybe 8 years ago but the last two times we have ordered from door dash the food has been terrible. The first time their was literally no seasoning on anything, we got wings, potato wedges and a full rack of baby back ribs. Then this last time the wings were so well done the meat was hard. The potato wedges and ribs were just okay. The food used to be amazing at this location so I'm hoping this is just a fluke.

The fries appeared burnt but were really crispy outside and soft inside. Very tasty but too much seasoning. The ribs were dry and not enough sauce and the corn bread was tasty but crumbly. I didn’t like the macaroni. It was very dry as if it were last little bit from earlier. The workers were nice and customer service was exceptional so I might give it another chance for that reason.
