Not the best experience ever. First time trying this place, ordered at 1pm and I asked them to deliver to my house by 3pm. They got to my house at around 5pm instead. The food was okay, i didn't particularly really like any of the dishes. The desert was great though, it made up for the food.

Too expensive, but food was good. It's was at the time of Covid. Maybe price gouging.

Stopped in with a coworker. The place was clean and trendy looking. We both had general tso chicken, rice and spring rolls. Served quickly and served slightly spicy and hot. Our server was super attentive! Can't wait to return again.

Surprisingly good Chinese food given odd location. Enormous menu including both American standards (lo-main, friend rice, etc...) and also some unusual items - bull frog, pig stomach... Wife and I did the eggplant, a chicken hotpot, an aromatic friend rice, and egg drop wonton soup. All were quite good. Prices slightly on the higher end, but nothing out of hand. Services was incredibly quick. Food must have been out in 5 minutes. Will return!

We went on the eve of Chinese new year, wrong time to go I guess. Waited for the last forty minutes for my drink(the drinks for other people all arrived, just missing mine). At least asked for the server four to five times, each time saying she will go get it and then nothing. The restaurant is not even that busy, but I guess there were lot of take outs. Food is nice, but takes a long time. Again, maybe bad timing. Kind of disorganized as well, they actually send someone table to table to ask if any dish is missing. I will probably go again, but not around any holidays...

DJ Kitchen offers Szechuan cuisine on City Line Avenue, Philadelphia. Well, sort of. It has the red Szechuan peppers down in large quantities, and many other hot spices that bring the willing cognizant diner to the brink of tongue burning ecstasy. Yet, like most other Chengdu facsimiles around town, it stops short of the authentic 'flavor of numb' brought on by only the traditional black peppercorns and star peppers that grow in the hot humidity of the ancient Du plains in the plateau region of the central and western parts of the province. Without the Numb, it just isn't true Szechuan. It is still quite good, with quality ingredients and plenty of meat, veggies, spices and sesame oils, but it isn't the Full Monty. The portions are substantial with leftovers for the boys at home. We thoroughly enjoyed the Cumin Lamb and Long Hots with Beef. They were colorful with powerful aromas. The meat was tender while the peppers and onions, crisp. The red onion was particularly sweet in contradistinction to the growling bark of the green long hots. Both damn good. The only shortcoming beside the absence of numbing essence, was the saltiness of the Dry Pepper Crispy Chicken. It was an unnecessary distraction to an otherwise entertaining platter. We enjoyed chatting with Ming, one of the owner/managers, who took time to explain some of the history of the restaurant. He and his partners have created an interesting haven for those seeking an alternative to the regular Chinese American grub, and although it doesn't travel all the way to to the numbing mountaintops, it does take us a long way up that winding spicy road.

Enjoyed their food. Nice ambience and service. What I liked about them was they customize the dish according to your request. They were able to customize the spicy hot pot with veggies and tofu as per my request.

Too much oil in food I have tried this place several times and my experience recently has not been good. I have ordered the fried rice and beef with broccoli which was good. But once I tried other things on the menu, everything had too much oil, little too no vegetables and lacking in protein. This is just too unhealthy compared to chinese American takeout. Should've gone to chipotle. Beware of these dishes: The beef soup, regretful meal The garlic sauce is just oil, no sauce

The hot pot beef dish was delicious! Regular spice level was definitely reaching my limit of spiciness but was super tasty. The scallion pancake was awesome as well! We had the seafood noodle soup also but found it to be a little bland and the noodles overcooked. Definitely highly recommend the hot pot and scallion pancake.

The food here is incredible. We’ve been here several times now and each time has been a great and different experience. Long hot pepper style and dry pepper style are standouts, as well as the xiao long bao and other notables such as okra, hot sauce style etc. restaurant has good atmosphere and is very clean. Service very attentive and friendly.

Yum! We tried a bunch of dishes and all were good. With szechuan style cooking, most dishes are spicy. The dumpling appetizer was fantastic. We also liked the three cup chicken and salt & pepper ribs. The dry pot chicken was okay. Too much pepper and I love spicy food. Also liked the pepper beef. Most dishes had just protein and not a lot of veggies (maybe it's just what we ordered) but the protein was expertly flavored. Service was good and food has great flavor: highly recommend
