Went a few minutes before closing so they were out of most things. Coconut bun was really good, but as it was closing time, it was a little cold for my liking. Would taste really good fresh and warm. I guess it would be best to visit them in the morning hours. Highly recommend the Panda sponge cake sandwich - so soft and airy!! Like the coconut bun, it was not overfilled, had a mellow flavor and was only mildly sweet. The Hong Kong style milk tea was okay.

Dodo is such a gem. We stopped by to grab some pastries on the way to an Easter brunch, and everything was a hit! I'm so happy to have a sweet little place like this in the neighborhood. I'm ashamed to say we took way too long to try it out, and I don't know why. Maybe because Frangelli's is right there? Thankfully Dodo's business hours coincide with my lack of planning ahead, because whenever I try to do a quick run by Frangelli's (like this morning), they're closed. This place has a very different vibe, and both are great. Highly recommend.

I've stopped by a few times and the food was okay, but will not return due to the poor service. At my last visit, I bought several items including two egg tarts, then asked them for a spoon so that my friend's 3yrs old kid could eat without a mess. A yong man behind the counter was about to give me the spoon but an old lady stopped him and told me that they won't provide spoons. I would just walked away if I haven't paid for the food already.

They make a ton of really tasty pastries at good prices. My family from Guiyang liked it all. The pineapple bun was quite good! I will be sure to come back to try the milk

A small corner bakery in South Philly with an Asian flair. Hearty and delicate and sweet and savory pastries, steamed pork and vegetable buns, traditional Asian pastries at the holidays like beautiful mooncakes and gorgeous cake creations including Yule Logs at Christmas. New and delicious dishes are always being introduced and there is an extensive menu of beverages. You will not leave Dodo hungry or broke! Everything is very reasonably priced especially for such high quality creations!

First let me start off by saying the nicest people work there. They told me if I wanted any egg custard tarts, I can call early that morning and pick it up in the afternoon. So I ordered their famous pandam tarts that sell out every morning because no one else makes these and thought it would be a unique Thanksgiving dessert. Everyone thought they were good but that it tasted like a regular dan tat (egg custard tart). There was not a bit of pandam flavor at all! It was very disappointing since we all love pandam. Maybe it was just a fluke. I hope because I like to support local businesses.

They have an amazingly large menu for such a small low key place. One of my favorite bakeries in Philly!
