The service was horrific the food is mediocre and I had hair in my food and they were super rude after I waited for 25 minutes to even order, when there was zero line. they also claim to have the best Philly cheesesteak since 1927 and I looked it up and They opened in 1951 and two. That junk was terrible go to a mom and Pop store in a random town and Philadelphia if you want a cheesesteak.

Super Nice Place. Excellent Breakfast. 100% recommended.
Super delicious french toast with hot syrup on the side. We sat at the bar and the service was very efficient. Our food came within 10 minutes of ordering and everything was fresh. Plenty of seating at the bar and a lot of tables/ booths in the dining area.

Down home diner is an intriguing little gem tucked away in the Reading Terminal Marker. Although my wife, nephew and I are tourists from California, they treated us with the hospitality of locals. Thank you so much!
