Love everything about this place. It’s awesome to have some great Detroit style pizza in Philly and the mission is inspiring.

Uptown vibes vegan pizza was good,
The crust was square deep dish chicago style, very good sauce. tons of cheese didn’t really taste the kale nevertheless, spot on! little on the expensive side.
Thai cauliflower wings , perfectly done, tender on the inside crispy tempura batter on the outside very good sauce
Spicy crab fries need work no crab flavor, kale was there but lacking flavor, plenty of cheese on fries, cheese was cold and the fries were little bit dry and cold.
The Fries are overpriced, thicker cut fries would be better.
The blueberry lemonade and a cucumber, mint lemonade a perfect combo with the pizza
This is a very nice place for takeout. The decor is right on with the whole mission. I read a chapter of the book while I was there Muhammad is inspiring.
I think it’s admirable the way they give back to the community. Hope that they will get some sit down seating in the future currently it has barstool and counter seating, would love to see some outdoor seating. Overall a nice experience, reason for four star atmosphere was a little bit loud hard to talk to my friend.
And as far as the food goes a little bit pricey overall, that’s just a personal opinion if it works for them that’s all that matters definitely will be back.

Amazing spot, best pizza in town. Got to love that Norf sauce. The story of the place, it's founders and its staff is nothing short of incredible. A must stop spot when you're in Philly if you love pizza, come back stories, and social reform.

Really good pizza. We got the no betta love, french fries, and a lemonade. They were sold out of milkshakes sadly. Vibes are cool and pizza is delicious. The cheese crust is fantastic.

Saw this pizza spot on YouTube and had to try it! Pizza was great! We got the “Break You Off” pizza. It was loaded with lamb and baked goods perfection. The crust was nice and crunchy, the pizza was nice and chewy. Not too chewy…I had the perfect bite. The wings were solid too. Will definitely return when I am in the area.

Some of the best Detroit style pizza I have ever had. Light fluffy crust with a perfect crunchy caramelized cheese edge!

Do yourself a favor and eat it right there while it is fresh and hot from the oven!

Delicious and pleasingly light. Detroit style pies, especially DowNorth’s, embody what Chicago style pizza should wish it could be(the salient exception being Milly’s which seems to have convergently evolved with DowNorth’s & is The #1 pie in Chi). The lacy Malliardization of the cheesy edge is INSANE as is the fresh-seeming Norf sauce. I’ve had only the No Betta, but it has an apt appellation. Any Pizza place should be judged first on its Margherita-equivalent before its other creations. Speaking of which, I see options here not seen anywhere else, for example “What We Do“ (beef, pepperoni, beef sausage, kale, banana, peppers, and honey chipotle) versus “I’m a Boss“ (turkey pepperoni, turkey, sausage, mushrooms, red peppers, and Norf sauce- one of which will be devoured on my next foray- probably not too many days from now.
I would like to learn that DN is nitrate-free, but, on the other hand if there’s 1 place I wouldn’t worry about it, it would be at DN.
The mission of being a welcoming work haven for formerly incarcerated people makes eating DN even more appealing. I’ve not enjoyed another pie in Philadelphia more.

Got takeout after wanting to try them for a while. The pizza was surprisingly small for the price and wasn't that good. It was edible but not anything I'd want again. The wings were good, but one of them was the tiniest piece that really shouldn't have been included/counted. Overall would not recommend.

Seriously some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. The sauce is phenomenal, the crust is buttery, savory and crispy, and the beef pepperoni is TO DIE FOR! As long as they’re making pizza, I’ll be buying! 10/10 SCRUMPTIOUS!!!
