I’ve had authentic Mexican tacos before, and this place is definitely a step up from Chipotle. When I asked about their Salsa Verde, it didn’t seem quite authentic to me, but the server joked that I probably hadn’t had real Salsa Verde before! Haha.
As for the soft tacos, they’re not exactly authentic either, but they’re still a step above average.

The service is great. But, almost everything is very sour.... Probably because most of it is preserved. Salsa Verde, guacamole, etc.
Unless you like sour food, I wouldn't recommend this place.

So sorry, but this was the blandest, least flavorful Mexican restaurant I've been too. Very disappointed after having it recommended by multiple people.

I have been coming here for years. This last time I was charged 54 cents without any notice simply for having my veggies on the side as opposed to inside the bowl I ordered. That is annoying because if the veggies were added to the bowl I wouldn't have been charged extra.
I should've turned around when no one said hello when I walked in. The only person who seemed to be nice was the lady.
First time ever walking into a food joint and didn't smell food. The lack of seasoning, on everything, explains it all! The BLANDEST "Mexican Food" I've ever had! $17.90 for a plastic container full of unseasoned trash! A waste of money, and my 30 minute lunch.

Outstanding across the board.
On top of that "Pete" is courteous, and welcoming which helps make the experience twice as good.
Highly recommend.

Just a short walk from Wills Eye Hospital. Well worth it! Food prepared to order and Pete E even made me shrimp tacos during breakfast hours. So good, so fresh, yum. Excellent balance of all ingredients in my 3 soft shell tacos. Lettuce, tomatoes, mild salsa, guacamole, cheese, sour cream and shrimp. I had a Coke bottle of soda, not can. Service excellent and atmosphere of the restaurant is very mellow and welcoming. Even gave me a reusable shopping bag, nice. Took a picture of customers food to go, with her permission, of course.
Vegetarian options: You tell them what you want on your taco, so vegetarian options are all available upon request.
Parking: Only free street parking available right in front of restaurant, but at least two parking garages nearby.

Got a steak burrito from here for lunch.
The line was long so I was nervous about time but their fast, friendly, well organized assembly line style ensured my burrito was waiting at the end with all of my selections. The steak was tender. The rice had flavor and was the right mouth feel for me. I appreciate this spot existing and appreciate their quality. Such excellent food and a friendly engaged staff. Will return often!

Absolutely would recommend, love the food and the staff. Just wish they had queso!
I never thought I would love a vegetarian burrito but I do at El Fuego.
