This is the goatee restaurant for my Mom & I When we are at Wills Eye For her eye treatment. Everything I’ve had there is delicious and the staff is friendly and funny. We always recommend this placeVegetarian options: They have lots of options. You can have meat or no meat. It’s visually appealingKid-friendliness: The staff behind the counter are wonderful people

LOVE El Fuego. Great tacos, with option for crunchy shells. Chorizo and guacamole, the best in Philly.

13$ for a bowl half the size of Chipotle. Disappointing food, disappointing service - safe to say after 2x won’t be here again.

Really don't understand why this place is so busy during lunch time. It's a lame version of Chipotle. The food is very bland. Tried it twice now and regret it both times. Had a burrito the first time. Dry, barely seasoned meat. Second time got a bowl. Why would you put ice cold lettuce, with unmelted cold cheese, on a bowl with lukewarm rice and chicken. The whole thing is cold within seconds. And I ate it right after ordering.

This place is average. Been here a number of times for lunch with buddies who really like this place.. but I think I’m good. I prefer Don Barriga, the Mexican restaurant located on 703 chestnut street. The food tastes better and seems fresher. I had shrimp tacos from this place and the shrimp were so small that I almost needed a magnifying glass to see them.. embarrassingly small..Don Barriga restaurant has much nicer atmosphere and although both have similar prices, you get much better food there. Their steak and shrimp tacos are banging there. Bigger shrimp too unlike El Fuego. Plus they have much better customer service and don’t rush you like the man at the register does at El Fuego..he is brutal.

This place apparently doesn't want to be open. I've tried to come in several times 45 minutes or so before their supposed closing time and their doors were locked. I was eating in today, got there at 1:50ish, they were supposed to close at 2:30. I noticed before 2 pm, all the food was packed up. Without warning, at 2:10, with 10 or so people there, they just shut off all the lights on everyone eating and half the staff were already out the door. It was so dark, I couldn't even see what was still left on my plate. I've never experienced anything remotely close to this anywhere before. Their hours show they're only open 3 hours a day a few days a week and they close early every day and shut the lights off on customers. Why not just shut your business down if you don't want to be open?

Fresh burritos are always a win. A step above Chipotle or Moe's at roughly the same price.

The atmosphere is perfect to scarf down three tacos and feel a bit less guilty.- The review's 11 year old, me.

The carnitas tacos are AMAZING. Honestly this place gives chipotle a run for their money! Everything tastes fresh and very well seasoned.

Over $18 for a chicken bowl, chips, and guacamole is really rich for the amount that’s given. During the lunch rush they definitely tend to throw everything in really quickly and not care that you’re getting a decent amount of food for the cost. Probably won’t stop here for lunch again. The staff is friendly enough but I just can’t justify the price for lunch. Also they REALLY need to dust/degrease their overhead lighting.

I've been a couple times. When you go in person all seems to be ok.I ordered 2 times online for collection. Both times food was severely lacking.Burrito bowl was only half full as opposed to going in person. And how dare they charge you 2.15 for 1 forkful of guacamole.Awful, disgraceful, plain thievery.

Love it here. Great food and great people.Everything being made in house really shines through in the quality of the food, and all for a super reasonable price!Come for the burritos and stay for the sweet treats!
