It's an authentic mom & pop Mexican trattoria , which is a must visit. Esp for their Buffalo pizza, of all things.It's the best pizza I've eaten, maybe due to the fact that it was made in a wood fired ovenOur nachos were a bit too drenched in cheese , but it's a personal choice.Soup was good and warmRed snapper was crispy and baked to perfection in the wood fired ovenEnchiladas were made with corn tortillas, but delicious.I'd love to come back.The host/owner is a delight to meet.His love and care in food prep, service and customer dealing is warm and jovial.

I recently dined at El Mezcal Cantina and had a fantastic experience. We started with the Chilango chicken wings seasoned with Tajín, which were absolutely delicious and had just the right kick of chili powder. The variety of ceviches we tried were all delightful, but the one with passion fruit was a standout favorite among our group. The owner personally greeted us and inquired about our dining experience, which added a special touch to the evening. The service from all the waitstaff and employees was exceptional, and the bartender even went above and beyond to craft a delicious mocktail for me when I opted not to drink alcohol. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience with great food and wonderful service. Highly recommended!

if you’re looking for a delicious mexican spot specializing in yummy contemporary/traditional food, look no further. this place is great. happy hour deals to die for. staff that work their butts off to bring you amazing service and quality food. that being said, and unfortunately i have to say this with every review: don’t expect 5 star service if you give 1 star treatment! treat the staff with respect and consideration, and i promise your experience will be like the many i’ve had (phenomenal). i recommend anything with pineapple in it. so tasty.

We heard great things about this restaurant and wanted to try it. However, the neighborhood is really rough. We didn't feel safe walking about a block to get the door. We never did get to eat there. I'm sure the food is excellent, but the city is just too dangerous now. Maybe we'll try again if the crime in the area improves. I wish them all the best.
