Great atmosphere, friendly service, reasonable prices.
Tried their grilled steak, it was delicious. Melts in the mouth, with a lot of sides
Highly recommended

I’ve been visiting this restaurant for a little over a year now and it’s easily one of my favorite spots. I typically come during late lunch hours, grab a seat at the bar and enjoy some quiet time reading, scrolling, or chatting with the staff.
The service is always top-notch. Becky and Carlito are incredible , welcoming, attentive and just genuinely good energy to be around. They both also makes the best spicy strawberry margaritas, hands down !
Now the food? Always fresh, always hot and packed with flavor. I rotate between two favorites but let me just say the chicken verde enchiladas are next-level ! The chicken is tender, the verde sauce is flavorful with just the right amount of tang and spice and it’s plated with care. Every bite hits. It’s comforting, satisfying, and honestly one of the best versions I’ve had anywhere. When I’m not ordering that, I go for the steak fajitas which are equally amazing and full of flavor.
The vibe is relaxed, friendly, and never too crowded. It’s a great spot whether you’re coming solo, on a date or with family.
While I do wish they stayed open a bit later, I appreciate that keeping limited hours helps them maintain their high standard of service and food quality. That’s rare and worth protecting.
Highly recommend checking them out you’ll be back after the first visit!

I don’t review restaurants - ever. Good experience or bad experience, I don’t do it. Who has time for that? That said, I’m leaving something for these guys because they deserve it.
I’m not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Attentive and quick service from the staff, affordable prices, and -ethereal- food.
You should start with a margarita and a baja taco. Get the nachos. Finish with a Fernet. You won’t be disappointed with anything except the fernet - if you’re a nerd. Eat here now.

Wow the tacos are really 🔥! Great drinks Too. A great spot
A friend and I had the best lunch here yesterday! The food was very good, the servings were generous, and the person who took care of us, Becky R., could not have been any nicer or more attentive! The restroom was really nice and clean! The dining area and bar was spacious, cool and clean. I would recommend Purepecha to anyone looking for a place with a healthy selection of various authentic Mexican food options!!

We went there because I saw it in multiple websites that there tacos are one of the best in Philly!
The taco was really good, I would say we really enjoyed it but the service was so slow, that was the main disappointment.
The atmosphere was good too.

Ordered takeout, chicken quesadilla, and birra tacos. The food was good and still hot when delivered. My only complaint is that we requested utensils and napkins since we were staying at a hotel and didn't receive them.
On 7/15 I visited the restaurant and the food was excellent and so was the service. I would recommend dining in over takeout. I updated to 5 stars because of this experience.

The food is amazing!! We had to look for a host, but I think she was doing a delivery order.
The server was fantastic, and he even went all out to help us wrap a taco to go (into a purse lol).
Food came out fast and tasted delicious. Not too pricey, and nice location.

I haven’t tried the food yet, so this review is based solely on the ordering experience. After I paid for my order, I asked if sour cream came with it and was told it didn’t—but that I could add it for an extra charge. That was fine by me, but then I was told I couldn’t pay for just the sour cream because it didn’t meet the card minimum, and I’d have to buy something else on top of that just to be able to pay.
That policy felt really frustrating and unnecessary, especially after already paying for my meal. I want to be clear that the waitress, Sophia, was great—super polite and helpful. This isn’t about her, but the restaurant’s setup seems more focused on squeezing every penny than making things convenient for customers. Terrible policy but good job hiring Sophia!

This was my third visit to this Mexican restaurant, but my 1st time dining at the bar. The ambiance at the bar felt much more inviting and the air conditioning is always on full blast.
As always, the food was exceptional, but what stood out even more was the cleanliness of the place. I really appreciated how attentive the bartender and waitstaff were in cleaning up after each customer, which made it easy to unwind after a long week.
The generous portions are perfect for enjoying a meal with friends, and the drinks are a delightful mix of unique and familiar flavors. Overall, it was a wonderful evening, and I look forward to returning!

I had some Canadian friends who were staying nearby that suggested we go here. I wasn't hungry for lunch but they swore that the birria tacos were great and that we should eat.
They were not wrong, these things were amazing. The dipping sauce had amazing flavor, the cilantro was perfect, the meal was all around great.
We had a bunch of great drinks and I would definitely eat here again.

Excellent food, friendly/attentive waitstaff, fun interior and decor, good prices. All in all, just a great happy hour or dinner spot! We loved the elote dip, enough so that my girlfriend will go back and have it just as her meal.

Dined there twice during my visit to Philly. It's quite good, inexpensive, not packed by visitors, plenty of space available inside.
We had nachoes, cheese enchiladas, some chicken meals with burritos.
