Hands down the best nachos I’ve ever had! Amazing vibes, great DJ and decor, and perfect for date night.
Huge shoutout to Mike at the bar—super friendly and on point. El Techo is a must!
The best part of this place is the view and the food is okay. Every time we have gone, the service is slow and you should not go if you have a time crunch.
The only thing I liked about this spot was that it is a rooftop restaurant and it was inside of our hotel, so we just had to go to the 11th floor. The margaritas are mid. The tacos I tried (brisket and chicken) were TRASH. Downright disgusting. If that was indeed brisket, it was very fatty. Never again. There are dozens of other restaurants surrounding this area.
Great place for atmosphere and a view of the city. Customer service is a little lacking but the food and drinks make up for it. Would love if they had more plant based options!
Came for brunch. The space itself is cool: you take an elevator to the 11th floor and you're transported to a rooftop restaurant. The roof is retractable so could be a nice option when warmer (it was closed when we went).
We got all the salsas (free chip refills!) which came with a surprising amount of options, so that was nice. The barbacoa tacos were fine, nothing special but standard (the tortilla tore a little easier than I would have expected so a bit hard to eat). The chorizo rojo hash was delicious. A solid amount of chorizo with a delightful sauce. The menu didn't have a ton of things outside of barbacoa tacos that I was interested in so I was surprised to have enjoyed this as much as we did.
The drinks were fine-standard margarita with a tajin rim. The service was a bit slow. We were one of two tables and it took a strange amount of time to get napkin refills, water, and the check.

We almost didn’t visit this rooftop taqueria in the Motto by Hilton hotel, but I’m oh so glad we did. Not only were these extraordinary tacos, but the ceviche was the most amazing we have ever had. We had both the carnitas (loved the pineapple) and the Barbados. The kanpachi fish was fresh and very pleasing in the coconut milk, citrus, tiger milk, cucumber, tomato sauce with a bit of crunch from pumpkin seeds and plantain chips.
Josh, one of the bartenders served us and was super efficient and friendly.
If we have a nit, it would be fairly weak, loaded with ice, margaritas for $13.
The view was fun and the place was obviously popular.
Vegetarian options: Cauliflower tacos.

Food is disappointment. The drunks are ok. Expensive. They don't have the same menu as the downstairs bar where happy hour is outstanding.
Views are great, and the atmosphere is dynamic. Come to visit after dinner.

I came here for my husbands birthday!
It was such an amazing experience. Honestly, this was one of the best dining experiences. I love the idea of ordering your food/drinks from the phone. You can choose to keep tab open and add items as you go.
It felt so chill and not rushed. I literally would add a cocktail or an extra taco from my phone. The items will come quickly - no issue .
The quality of the food/drinks were so good! I am pregnant so couldn’t have a cocktail but I have a delicious mangonada (mango lemonade ). It was delicious!!! The tacos were so tasty and filling! We had chips and gauc and a bunch of tacos- that was so filling!!!!
The service! Amazing! I came from NYC to take my husband here for his birthday (he is originally from Philly). And I emailed management in September and when I came they knew my name, had table ready and super nice! Shout out to Emily, Josh and Stephen! Soooooooooo nice and professional! I can’t say enough!!!!!!!!!
This is honestly such a great place to have cocktails and yummy tacos! A great date place! Great girls days out! Great for literally anything! I would recommend this place to everyone!
I would just say to place make sure there is toilet paper in the restroom. There was only one roll of paper that we had to pass around to other girls in the restroom. But that could’ve been something that just happened that day. Who knows! Just worth calling out.
All in all- it was beautiful views/ amazing service/ diversity in the crowd and staff/ yummy food/ wide selection on drinks . Brunch at El Techo is def a vibe

It would have received a hire rating if I had food perhaps but I just had a drink. The roof is closed for the summer so there is basically not much of a view during colder weather.

Took a friend from out of town here for the rooftop view and had a great time. If you catch them in the early evening it's a pretty serene environment. Although pricier than I like to pay for a taco, it was pretty good! I had the al pastor and barbacoa. I appreciated the 6 or 8 different salsas available as an appetizer as well as the jamaica (rosewater+hibiscus drink I remember from my childhood) and decently large drink menu. Food service was quick—almost immediate (i think the margaritas are pre-batched.)
5/5 experience. Would come back!
