Everything about this spot was great. We had a couple restrictions and our server was so helpful to curate the perfect tasting menu. This was such a full experience. Highly suggest the duck!

Everyone was great! The food was amazing! We had great drinks! I can't wait to come back! The aged duck was sooo good with the stuffed dates!!

Food was top notch. Liam, the bartender, was our server - he was excellent. I definitely see why they are a James Beard nominee. The tasting menu was amazing. They take a lot of pride in providing great service. Can't say enough good things about Emmett.

I've been in Philly 16 years, and eaten at every major fine dining restaurant in the city, many more than once. Amada, Zahav, Budakkan, Vernick Fish, you name it. Every Stephen Starr. Every Michael Solmonov. Every Jose Garces. This is the best meal I have ever eaten in my life. The carrots, the beets, the mushroom taglioli, the tuna tartar, the beef carpaccio tartlet, the duck, the liver mousse, the steak...I could go on. Every single bite was either perfect or nearly so. Both of my daughters and my wife said the same. We talked about our top dining experiences in Tokyo, Paris, St. Petersburg, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Miami, Chicago, there have been so many, many good meals in our life. We just found one of the greatest. Thank you Emmett. We look forward to our next visit (once you fix the ramp). -Stephen

I should begin with our greeting, so warm and welcoming. I dislike restaurants where one is greeted as if they're lucky to be given a reservation. Not Emmett. Every single staff member was friendly and warm. It was as if we were family, beginning with the hostess and ending with the guy who kept our water glasses filled. Each and every one, especially our server Veronica-- who spent some time talking about the custom plates and serve ware the restaurant uses--were delightful. (Custom hand thrown plates are my weakness-never met one I didn't lust after, so it was fun and unexpected to see the number of plate changes we enjoyed.) Now on to the cuisine. Wow! If you are a foody, and love innovative food, you must try Emmett! I am a very good home cook, but have never tried my hand at inventing new recipes, so this place was like landing on the Moon! The chef has a way of combing regular ingredients with unexpected spices and condiments and making the result an amazing taste! Each and every plate was presented and served with such incredible style, just like a magazine. We had the Tasting Menu, and it's so hard to even consider which one was our favorite! There is a taste, a favorite food, a fish or beef or vegetable for everyone. Do not miss the Sweet Potato, the Winter Squash Agnolotti, the duck, the Madeleines (a first course), or the date cake. There are many, many other dishes that will make you very happy! Every one a marvel. The restaurant also has a very nice bar, also with inventive cocktails, and some fine wine choices. I highly recommend Emmett and make sure to make reservations. It's a charming, artsy sort of place, but not huge. Tell them I sent you!

Went to Emmett for the first time to celebrate my birthday with my wife and son, and chose the tasting menu—what a fantastic meal and overall experience. Every dish was excellent, but the rye tartlet truly stood out as our favorite. The only suggestion for improvement would be to slow the initial pacing a bit. The first six “snacks” arrived very quickly, which felt a little overwhelming and hard to fully enjoy. Once we asked our server to slow things down, the experience improved significantly. We'll absolutely be back.

In the old Modo Mio/ Cadence space, nicely appointed, comfy space. Service was helpful and there when needed. Food was a star. Only negative was that it is not handicapped accessible, even they say they are on their website. They accommodated a wheelchair as best as possible (but no ramp to enter?!)

Just incredible. One of the best meals I've ever had. From start to finish. Zero misses. Highly recommend.

a truly exceptional restaurant! Each dish was unique and surpassed all my expectations. The service was remarkable and everyone was truly amazing from the moment we walked through the doors. A great place for a special occasion or just a night wanting unbelievable food.

Food happens to excellent. The veggies dishes and pastas especially. Should try to lower noise level, hard for a small place tho

Plating, service, and dish execution were generally outstanding. The madeleines and uni taglioloni were a must try. I can't remember the name of it, but there was also a rye-based apple cider-like cocktail that was truly delightful. The work put in to get that concentrated, roasted apple flavor is commendable. We were very much looking forward to trying the duck, but they had already sold out by 6:30pm. Unfortunately after a fantastic meal our night ended on a very disappointing note. There was room for improvement with the date cake that we had for dessert. It was...fine, and somewhat unpleasantly more salty than sweet. What really upset me was the 'Liquid meringue' cocktail on the dessert menu. I was most looking forward to trying it all evening. What should have been an exciting, mediterranean play on a lemon meringue pie meets lemon drop martini was just a salt bomb. The labneh meringue had a subtle lemon flavor, but mostly tasted like a very salty, sea foam-like yogurt. The fluid part of the cocktail was just straight lemony salt...somehow saltier than the "meringue" topping. It was undrinkable and nothing was done to remedy that situation. I do plan to return as the service and food was THAT GOOD, but I hope we don't encounter these disappointments again.

My partner and I visited Emmett for a special birthday dinner. We sat at the bar and ordered the tasting menu. It was pricey but memorable and delicious! Each of the dishes were very unique and not something you can easily make at home. It was hard to pick our favorite dish as they were all delicious. They played good music (not pop or country :) and the staff were all kind professionals. The tasting menu left us happy and stuffed! We had to take one of the dishes home. You won't be disappointed!

We had a great dinner at Emmett. We had a 5:15 reservation and started with cocktails. I had the “Someone call it” which was delicious!! My husband had the “sink or swim “ he totally enjoyed it, esp with the caviar ! We had the madeleines with caviar, amberjack crudo, uni tagliolini and the dry aged duck. Every single item was out of this world. We were in heaven tasting every spice and flavor sensation. It can be a bit pricy if you order everything like we did and probably should have done the tasting menu. Next time!!

The dining room is too dark- can't see the food and waiters can't see empty glasses to refill the water. Food presentation is fab and would be much better if able to see it better. The appetizers were better than entries. The fish trout was on a dryer side and as independent $50 entry was very little food for my son. The steak could do without heavy blob of hollandaise like sauce that overpowered it and detracted from it. As much as I like picked things there were too many hidden and made side vegetables too salty- constantly felt thirsty during the meal. Very limited desert choice and nothing gluten free if you have allergy. A dollop of caviar for the birthday person was lovely. Cocktail was great; only Pa wines are available. The additional rabbit borek was great supplement. Creative menu- prob can easily compete for the Michelin star with Friday Saturday Sunday easily
