Big fan of Thai food and sometimes hard to find places that have vegetarian curry without fish sauce, but this place does it! Might be my favorite Thai place in Philly! They are also so great about customizing dishes and adding vegetables, etc. Also very good about accommodating allergies. Highly recommend the red curry, chive cakes, spring rolls, and Thai iced coffee!Vegetarian options: Curry can be made without fish sauceDietary restrictions: VegetarianSesame seed, coconut, tree nut allergies

After trying out this spot based on a Thai transplant's recommendation, I must say that Erawan is one of the best Thai restaurants in Philly. Our table ordered a few menu items and we were delighted by all the dishes. I was impressed that they offer chives cake as an appetizer here, since it's a street food that isn't that easy to find outside of Thailand. If you're a fan of fried chicken like me, you'll be thrilled to hear that they also offer Hat Yai chicken (gai tod hat yai). For the avid fans of seafood, their stir fried shrimps with curry sauce (goong pad pong karee) is also a dish that's highly recommendable. Our group couldn't stop eating even after we were full since we were THAT hooked. Erawan's price point may be a bit high, but their satisfyingly delicious food makes it worth it. Ambience here is intimately cozy with a service that's friendly and efficient.

Came here with a party of 11. Service was great. The food was also very good. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken and it was very spicy, which I enjoyed. Would come back here again!

I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant. The service was wonderful - they went above and beyond to celebrate my husband's birthday. And the food was delicious. Overall a great experience!

Some of the best Thai food I've had in Philadelphia. This place is a hidden gem. They have new owners and a new chef, and I've been blown away. I loved the braised chicken with curry, crab fried rice, the massaman curry, fried whole fish, grilled marinated pork... everything. I've been twice in a short period. Go for the specials and the items that aren't on every American Thai restaurant menu. The owner is very nice, and the staff are happy to help you through the menu.

Good dining. My pad Thai was too sweet for my taste but well seasoned.

I had never been here before the new management, but I did eat here Saturday night and was very impressed! We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. They were so busy, and it seemed like there were only 2 waitresses, so we were patient for our order to be taken. We tried the green curry roti, the hat-yai fried chicken, and the shrimp rolls for appetizers. The green curry roti was very warming with a nice spice level; the fried chicken was crispy and so flavorful; and the shrimp rolls were stuffed with veggies and shrimp and fried perfectly. We shared the winter duck special, which was really tasty. It had a nice fat cap, crispy skin, and paired really well with the veggies with which it was served. We also ordered dessert since it was a special occasion, and loved the Pa Tong Goh Thai-style donut. It was served fresh from the fryer with a caramel sauce. We will definitely be back to try more of their expansive menu!

I had the curry here, it was very good. I saved some just to be able to enjoy it later again. The service was very nice and the interior was cozy and festive (went during Christmastime). I would definitely come back here again.

The prices have increased too much in the past year. Lunch is the same cost as the dinner menu. It's just too expensive for what you get. If their prices were lower, I would go more often but there is another place not too far away that's less expensive and more good food for a better price I wish them well but a lunch menu should mean lower price not the same price. Also if you are order to pick up the system makes you pay a tip even though you are picking up!

Erawan is incredible to say the least. We got the Thai iced tea that was so rich and flavorful — best Thai iced tea I’ve ever had. Then the rangoons, pad Thai, pad see eww, and mango sticky rice which were all a delight to the taste buds. Definitely want to come here again to try the curries with some roti on the side. Thank you, Erawan, for being so amazing :D
