I was in the area and decided to pop by to try a thing or two. Not knowing anyone who had tried them before I stuck to the small, individual sized items…browned butter chocolate chip cookies, morning croissant and some pizza dough. It all comes frozen but I had other places to go so some started defrosting in the car. Here’s my review of each. Cookies - I don’t like ANY chocolate chip cookie that doesn’t have nuts in them. I usually wouldn’t even buy them, I decided to try these because of the browned butter. I had one in the car before I got home and they were AMAZING! I shocked myself at how much I enjoyed them. They were soft without being chewy, a feature I hate in cookies personally, and had nice crispy edges, even after defrosting! The taste, texture and everything about these defied all that I thought was possible with a gf cookie! 10 out of 10 Pizza dough - since it was defrosted by the time I got him I decided to make a couple mini pizzas. I used half the dough, I bag will easily make 4-5 personal sized pizzas. I thought I had rolled it too thin as it started to break apart so I made it a little thicker. It rises while cooking so when I do the rest, I’ll leave it thinner for sure. Because other gf pizzas seem to have such difficulty cooking in the city I was concerned when I saw these rising. But they cooked up beautifully! It was soooo nice having gf pizzas seem that had the taste and texture of traditional crust. I appreciate suppliers for having the option available, and some are better than others…but the Flakely dough is the standard now! I’ll never buy another gf pizza, whether it be a restaurant or a market. 10 out of 10 Morning croissant - I put this right in the freezer so I haven’t tasted it yet. But it looks phenomenal! They described it as a cross between a cinnamon roll and a croissant. You can’t go wrong with that combo as a general thing but given how the cookie and pizza dough has tasted, I have no doubt this will be terrific as well! Run, don’t walk, over to their shop and let’s make sure they’re around for the long haul. Just beware, they might spoil you against some of your existing faves!
Wonderful. She has gluten free perfected!!!!
I just tried a GF bagel and I’m nearly in tears it’s so good. Had to jump on and review for anyone who misses real bagels ❤️

Just had a cheesesteak at Campo’s on a Flakely gf roll and it was truly amazing. Would never had known it was gf! Hopefully they start a wider distribution throughout the city!

Flakely is not your typical gluten free bakery. Here you'll give an outstanding assortment of croissants, bagels, brioche, in addition to white sandwich loafs and more.Check their website for pickup or walk-up hours and product availability.

Great gluten free options, but better as a general grocery item. Hope they get more business and stocked in more distributors in the area! Have had the sufganyot and chocolate babka for Hanukkah, both great, and the croissants are a nice item though definitely different from the typical flakey type! Rich and buttery!
Dietary restrictions: All gluten free, almost all vegetarian

Flakely is such a gem here in the Philly area!! Shorty rolls for cheesesteaks, challah for French toast, and ginormous pop tarts & danishes are my two favorites. Chef Lila is always coming up with delicious, tasty gluten free treats. And a sweeter person you will not find! She is a genuine, kind & brilliant person!!
Amazing gluten-free goodies from a baker who knows her stuff!! Phenomenal 'pop tarts', tasty cookies, and more... Highly recommended!!
When I found out I had to go GF about a year ago, I was so sad to not be able to enjoy some of my favorite foods. Luckily, I found Flakely shortly after and have enjoyed everything I've gotten from here! The chocolate croissants and gouda & chive scones are my absolute favorite but everything tastes great. I also love that Lila is constantly working to improve the recipes, expand the menu, and frequently asks for customer feedback on her social platforms.
I’ve been enjoying Lila’s GF creations since before she has her storefront. I’d order her pies and pick them up from her house for thanksgiving. I’m not celiac however do have Crohn’s disease and several other food sensitivities and enjoyed her desserts, with my family who all raved of their flavor. i also worked with Lila on some business collabs when she was first starting her small business. She’s a fabulous small business owner dedicated to her trade and passionately devoted to her work as well as devoted to giving back to good causes and her community. I recommend Flakely GF to my celiac friends as well as my non-celiac friends looking for a delicious treat and wanting to support a great small business.

Absolutely, hands-down, the best gluten free bagel I've ever had. Idk how they do it but the texture is so perfect, I almost couldn't believe it! I also tried the pizza dough (amazing), pop tarts (also amazing), and danishes (amazing, if you can believe it). I'm so excited to have found what is to me the holy grail of gluten free treats. Can't wait to try more!
I tried Flakely after hearing many good things about it and the raves were justified! Gluten free goods don’t always taste good or have good texture but these items were delicious with amazing texture. I am not gluten free but like to try new things, and these baked goods would stand up against gluten bakery items. I so enjoyed the chocolate croissant and the chive and Gouda scones the most? as well as the s’mores pop tarts. I can’t wait to try some of the other items and have recommended this place to my friends who need to get gluten free items for when they are entertaining and can’t find anything good for their gluten free and non gluten free guests to both enjoy.
I tried Flakely GF bagels for the first time this past weekend, and I am so glad I did! I’m new to the Philly area and have been so excited by all of the different GF options, and the Flakely bagels did not disappoint! They are hearty but not overly chewy/bready/hard like some GF bagels I have tried. I got the plain ones, but I hope to be able to try some of their other flavors eventually!
BEST gluten free pastries in the whole US! AND they ship it even to the west coast! Love this company!!!
Celiac Heaven!!! Bagels are outstanding! For anyone with a gluten free allergy, I highly recommend this bakery!
