I had the pleasure of dining at Fond this evening. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere has a great vibe. I’m also glad to see that they were able to retain the excellent staff of the former restaurant housed in the same space. Now onto the deets.
After settling in and sipping our wine, rather than the standard bread or other free offerings, the waitress brought over two shots of warm mushroom shrimp bisque for the table—delicious. All the apps looked good so we randomly...
The food was delicious. However, the bartender was AWFUL. He got most of the drinks wrong and then lied about it. Items asked for were never received. Other servers had to keep correcting his mess. It's sad because the food was very good.
Fantastic brunch spot if you are looking for hearty dishes with modern flair. The best shrimp and grits I have had! Great service as well as ambiance; you can get lost in conversation here.
