The food was everything you hope for and more. Cold sesame noodles were outstanding and very different than anything I had before. And for those that like it hot, it did not disappoint and was executed well. I wish they would open near me.

I loved their food. Friendly staff. Fairly priced. And a good portion. If you are a light eater, two entrees would be enough for 3-4 people.

Criminally underrated with an ambience that truly helps you appreciate the food on your plate. I’ll never come to Philadelphia without going.

The serving size is unbelievably minuscule. The food was not prepared according to the designated pickup time and was delayed for over twenty minutes before I could finally collect it.

Absolutely delicious Szechuan Chinese! My husband and I split 1 main and 2 side dishes and everything was amazing. Perfect amount of food for 2, perfect spice level, no notes! In order from most to least spicy — highly recommend the Szechuan smashed cucumber salad, the sliced beef + tendon in chili sauce (so good I didn't even stop for a picture), and the Szechuan chicken with green shoots & buns.

The food was too spicy but the waiter and the chef did not believe me. I ate the dish but it was difficult. We got attitude from the waiter.

great menu with a balance of authentic sichuanese dishes and american-chinese dishes. food and wait staff ar great, but the bathroom is up a tall flight of stairs (inaccessible for those with difficulty walking) and they could be more efficient with seating

I love szechuan food and wanted to try all the szechuan restaurants in Philly. this is hands down the worst I’ve ever been to. they use barely any seasonings and the food is not spicy at all. I will never go here again!

So is this place a hidden gem? It didn't seem that hidden, but then maybe it gets lost in the lights of Chinatown. At any rate we were somehow the only two in the restaurant when we arrived, and while that was lucky for us it seems a shame. Admittedly it filled up before we left so maybe we just beat the rush.Let's talk food though. Goodness that food. Appetizers were timely and incredible. Our server advised us off the chengdu style sweet and spicy noodles in favor of the Dan Dan noodles, this was good advice. The noodles are cooked with pork and scallions and they make a great sharing dish. Ditto the scallion pancake, it was delectable light and crispy.Once we'd cleared our plates the entrees showed with basically no wait and just... wow. We had the sautéed smoked pork with hot pepper and the braised pork belly with chestnuts. When I say that smoked pork melts in the mouth I am not kidding, but it leaves plenty of flavor behind to remember it by. The long peppers add notes of heat which paired with scallion and ginger make the whole affair delicious bite after bite. The braised pork is delightfully rich and a bit sweet, it goes very well with rice or on its own. The surprise was the chestnuts. Neither I nor my spouse are usually fans, but these were soft with a solid, well nutty, flavor that paired well against the sweetness of the pork.So did I like it? I'll say this much, I don't often turn a review around this fast. In this case though the food was worth crowing about.
