Very good food, great friendly service and refreshing libations. Portion size was plentiful and the buffalo cauliflower appetizer still is my hands down favorite. I've eaten here many times and the FSC always provides a great experience.
A friend of mine has celiacs and was able to choose from a good set of options for brunch and did not get sick from cross-contamination. A win for us!
Love that for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner there are many many options! A great spot to come with non-veg eaters as well. Mostly vegan menu or can be made vegan. Cute outdoor garden/patio as well. Brunch recs: tofu benedict w/ mushroom scrapple Lunch recs: tofu banh mi Turnover recs: loaded fries (even non veg partner loved!) Dinner recs: buffalo cauliflower for the table, vegan French onion soup (clarify vegan cause they have non veg too), stuffed shells.
Excellent all around - staff were friendly and quick. Food was delicious. Outdoor seating here is the way to go.
My experience at Front Street was wonderful. My mom was dining with me, and she has celiac disease and is also a vegan. The restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere, a wide array of choices for her and our server, David was wonderful. We were traveling into Philly from New York and it was a wonderful time and experience. We would definitely visit again when we are in town. Highly recommend this spot for anyone with gluten allergies. They were wonderful to my mom.
I made a reservation for 930pm and then by staff was called to say that they close at 10pm. Was told that if we don't get there by 945pm then we won't be seated. OK. I understood. We got there early just to be sure we could get seated. Then, we were told again that they close at 10pm. We felt rushed with our meal. The food was just OK. Nothing special. The spinach artichoke dip was the worst we ever had. It was a one and done for our group. There are way better restaurants in the city.
The food was good. We enjoyed the mango mule, the harvest salad, and all of the desserts. I was especially excited about this restaurant because it was recommended as being allergy-friendly and I was happy to find many allergens listed on their menu - just not soy. As someone with a recently developed soy allergy, I'm finding it very difficult to find accommodating restaurants. I was disappointed that when I asked about items on the menu that were soy-free, the server told us that he honestly didn't have time for that. We put our orders in and he was able to confirm that my salad was soy-free, but we would have ordered more food if they were able to spend an extra minute or two with our table. I was hoping to add FSC to my shortlist of soy-allergy-friendly restaurants in Philly, but I probably won't be coming back.
We had brunch here for the first time, and it was excellent on all levels. I had been to Front Street Cafe on several occasions for dinner over the past 2 years but had not had a meal as high quality as our brunch on Saturday. New chef? I don't know, but I'll go back for sure.
The food was okay, we got bolognese, shrimp/ crab cakes, burrata and the “mozzarella”. The crab cakes and bolognese was VERY bland. The crab cake just tasted like an omelet and the bolognese had no flavor and was very oily. The best things were the appetizer, I wasn't expecting the mozzarella to be cheesy since it's vegan, but i definitely wasn't expecting it to have a bread texture. The burrata caprese was our favorite. The service was not the best, server came by 3x, once to take our order, then to drop off my drink and the check. The brunch food and service is a lot better than dinner.
Front St. offers a huge choice of meal options for every taste. The food was innovative and satisfying. Our server could not have been any nicer. I would like to go back to experience the lunch menu.

I love Fromt Street! I always go with my sister who's vegan and it's perfect! Service is always good, and food is usually great, but this time the food was just okay.
I've been near FSC many times having frequented this neighborhood for years, but this was the first time I've ever been inside for a meal, and I regret not visiting sooner. Time to make up for lost time. This place has everything I love in a restaurant. Friendly staff and cozy ambiance. Great drink selection. Vegan options for me. GF options for my wife. Everything else for my friends who need neither accommodation. Looking forward to returning to try their other food. I just found out they are open for breakfast every morning. I wish I lived closer so I could experience that, but I'll make it a point one morning! Keep up the great work, and I'll be back there soon.
Great menu with lots of vegan and vegetarian options, attentive service, fun ambience. We'll back soon!
Food came out fairly cold. Lukewarm French onion soup just doesn't do it for me. Blueberry bbq wings - sauce was good, just again, not very warm. Salad barely had dressing on it. Ordered the grits. Great flavor, but once again: lukewarm. Better place for breakfast, missed the mark on dinner. Also, refills on iced tea aren't free, which astounds me. Will not be going back.
Excellent menu that truly accommodates a variety of dietary restrictions. Delicious vegan and gluten-free options. Physical space is well designed so there is good energy but you can still hear your party easily. Staff welcoming and responsive. This was our first visit and we will definitely be going back soon.
