I ordered the salmon rice bowl, and the only flavor I could taste was the sauce they put on top, and it wasn't good at all. The sauce tastes like soy sauce that went bad. The rice had absolutely no taste what so ever. The portions were enough for about 2 people. And I don't understand why you have to walk back outside to pay next door???

Goodness gracious, where do I begin without writing a book?As a major foodie I'm all about great food & Gilben's certainly didn't disappoint.I purchased a chicken cheesesteak w/fries, half of a chicken, yams & stuffn.Not only were both meals absolutely devine, the portions were quite generous and there's a large variety to choose from!I've already decided what my next treat will be for next week.People, you can't go wrong at Gilben's...I promise.

So I went to Gilben's yesterday, first time visiting, me and moms ordered platters. I guess I should have went early but it was approximately 4:00pm, they were out of some meats, so I ordered a beef brisket platter, looked burnt but they say it was the sauce I purchased anyway, mac 'n cheese good, candied yams good, meat slightly tough, weird taste and green beans was salty. I had to drink a lot of water, got slightly lightheaded was feeling sick, there was too much sodium i

Last Sat I place an order for 8 cheesesteaks. I was missing lettuce on one, extra cheese on all of them and ketchup on all of them. I spend almost $100 and my order wasn’t right. This is the first time this has happened. I understand you are short staff, but the staff you do have. Need to slow down and read the orders that come through online…..

They should answer the phone when trying to place an order, check an order status or cancel an order. My recent experience was terrible. I got charged for an order I never received.
Can't say enough about these new additional restaurants the Gilbens Bakery fam have now .. excellent service, food and decor in both places... always great vibes here and conversation!! Definitely hope they are here a long time
