Popped through for a coffee, and had heard so much about their pasteis de nata. Got a raspberry and lemon pastel de nata and a classic. Both were among the best i've had.

We were staying in Fishtown for a wedding, and wanted to find a good breakfast option close by. Wow. What a find! I love linguica, so finding a breakfast sandwich with authentic linguica was amazing. We also got a selection of Natas to share. My favorite was the pumpkin spice, but the lemon raspberry was also really delicious.
The friendly, local vibe was very welcoming. If we lived in the neighborhood, they would know us by name, because we would be there all the time.

We came upon this place by accident as we were in Philadelphia for just a couple of days, thought we’d just go in to grab a coffee. We ended up having some food and I am so glad we did! It was delicious! I had the Antonio (veggie) and a raspberry pasteis de Nata, I cannot recommend enough!
The staff were super helpful and friendly and the cafe was clean and well maintained.

Gilda is a gem! So happy this is in the neighborhood. Pastel de Nata taste very authentic to the ones I’ve had in Lisbon & Porto. The donuts are great too. All other food items I’ve had have been so flavorful and their bread is fresh and delicious Portuguese bread. The Antonio sandwich did live up to its hype! Even despite not typically liking meat on my breakfast sandwich ? it was so flavorful and tasty. Anytime Gilda is suggested, I recommend you go! ?

Lovely little spot with very tasty pastries and coffee. We went early in the morning and got prompt and friendly service. We got the salted pistachio cookie and a tart...my 2 year toddler and I both loved it.

Been here a few times, good each time. Super cute inside, I have sat and worked on a quiet weekday morning. Gets busy on weekends, but I haven’t ever waited too long.
Coffee is pretty good too. But omg, the pasteis de nata!!!! I’ve had a couple flavors, but this morning they had blueberry ones fresh out of the oven, and it was absolutely fantastic. The warm custard with the buttery crispy outside was so so good, and being fresh out of the oven truly made a difference to me.
A little expensive to be a daily or weekly thing for me, but def stop in for a special treat :)
Love Gilda and will be coming back and bringing friends more often!! Pasties de nata here are great, I got 3 boxes and brought them to my friends. They also enjoyed it as well!! Will explore some more items on the menu next time we go.
Vegetarian options: They have some sandwiches and other dishes that are vegetarian. The pastries are also vegetarian as well!
