We got there for our 5 pm reservation. Very few people were there, and we thought we should have made the reservation for later. By 5:30, the place was packed! Glad we went earlier. Anyhow, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service was great (even with the crowd). And the food was delicious! I'll recommend this restaurant to my friends.
The food was delicious. The atmosphere was very comforting like eating with a bunch of distant family members.

In my opinion the food was just ok and unfortunately we had very high expectations and really fell short. The chicken and veal dishes were just ok. The pasta dishes were much better. In fairness they were super busy, in fact we sat next to a part of 30 people but if they can’t handle the heat they shouldn’t have a kitchen.

My son was married on 10/23/2024. He hosted 35 family members and friends for dinner. From the moment we walked in, everything was fantastic. The servers/wait staff, the owner, the food.. I can't sing their praises enough!
My husband and I have been there before and will definitely return, sooner than later.

the waiter was nice, warm and very polite, food was delicious and very tasty. But there was an old man who 2 mins after we finished eating our dessert and we were finish our last glass of wine ask us to leave because they needed the table.

Service was fine and very cozy spot. The food left a lot to be desired. Overly red and acidic sauces for both of our plates, felt very American and not authentic Italian.
Giorgio’s is one of my favorite places in Philadelphia. The pasta is always very good and I am a huge fan of their pork chop and tartufo. The food as always was very good.

Loved their Italian bread, lobster ravioli and pasta with vodka sauce. Very attentive service and reasonable price. Everything was perfect. Wished my pasta was more Al dente but still good! We would come back.

I was taken back to Italy at this restaurant with the warm lighting and cozy atmosphere. The gentleman in the front was so sweet and pulled in a table from the back to make sure my sister and I could sit without waiting for too long! The tiramisu is a MUST!

It's a tight squeeze to fit into this cute restaurant but you'll be happy you do. Both of our meals were absolutely fantastic! Our server was very polite and fast. If I lived locally this would be my normal spot.

We went here last night with a group of friends. The food was fine but I’ve had better in the city. However here is what compels me to write a review. The old man walking around, who I’ve confirmed is the Giorgio the owner, told me in front of our entire table to “order the tiramisu and lose some weight.” I am pregnant. It was the most bizarre, confusing and rudest thing to ever happen to me at a restaurant. He walked away from the table after saying that and we were all stunned into silence. We still don’t know what he meant but I took it offensively. I don’t see a need to come back here with all of the other amazing Italian restaurants in the city.

"Giorgio’s on Pine: An Evening of Cozy Chaos"
Dining as a trio often brings up a unique mathematical problem—tables are rarely designed for odd numbers. This became especially apparent when, on a bustling night at Giorgio’s, we were seated at a table for six.
Some in our party thought we should surrender our oversized table to a larger group. Others, taking a cue from Shakespeare, said, “Let play.” We stayed. About a quarter of the way into our BYOB wine, bread, and first round of appetizers, Giorgio himself appeared.
With a blend of warmth and urgency, Giorgio whisked us to a new four-person table. In the flurry of this rearrangement, we ended up with a surprise bruschetta and an extra platter of prosciutto and melon. We had to doggy-bag some of it, but the gesture was a delightful touch. My branzino, topped with a scoop of shrimp, was flavorful, and the gnocchi with slow-roasted ragu at our table was similarly satisfying.
We weren’t the only ones subject to Giorgio’s unrelenting orchestration. Another nearby table was given the move with equal decisiveness. But that’s the charm of Giorgio’s—a place run on mathematics all its own, where you’re swept up into a cozy, vaguely continental ambiance that’s as much about the experience as it is about the food.
