I was in Philly with my boss and a colleague for an industry event. They were asking for a place to go for a bite and a beer. I asked my daughter who is local for some recommendations and she recommended Good Dog Bar. There are many great restaurants in the center city area, but this one does a great job. At 6:30 on a Monday, the place was quite busy. We were able to get a booth. I didn't see any tables for large groups downstairs. Most of the bar area and tables were full when we started ordering. The beer selection is diverse and prices are reasonable. For my main dish, I had to try to vegan Philly Cheesesteak. You might say that this is quite blasphemous being in Philly and doing vegan. I'm not sure how they did it, but it was very tasty. They also have some awesome fries with it. As far as parking, find a lot or garage or it's better to use mass trans or bike.

Burgers, dogs, and beer - not much more you can ask for at Good Dog Bar!One of my favorite aspects about Good Dog Bar is that their restaurant walls have framed pictures of dog pictures that customers have sent in over the years. It's makes for a fun experience and who doesn't love to look at 'a good boy'? Not only is this a cool feature about their restaurant, they also have delicious food!What we ordered:-Drinks: Swipe Right - Tito's, matcha syrup, fresh lemon, Prosecco-Appetizer: Fried Mozzarella-Entree: Good Dog Burger - stuffed with roquefort cheese, topped with caramelized onions, on a challah bun

April 6th 10 PM. 1st floor Bartender was NOT nice before we could even say anything. Like, sorry you have to take our money bro (7 people)...been watching you cough into your hands for the last 20 mins, but best of luck on your tip at this point. 2nd floor bartener was nice! Only issue was they were trying to force me to leave a tab open when my friend already had one open. Can I not pay how I want? Tbh Food was pretty good! Lol. Runners were on point. Wont be back cause I dont need the attitude when spending my money. Fwiw, bartender was nice when it was time to pay. Hurried us out of our seats for the next customers. Edited to lower a star for the last part.

This place has exceptional food! It is small, but a nice place to have a couple of drinks and eat some good food. Our server didn't have much of a personality, but he was on point. The short rib grilled cheese was amazing as were the empanadas!
