Great Awakenings Cafe

This place is amazing. Jonathan is so awesome and was very helpful. Coffee is so fresh. It was my first time here and I can't believe it's so close to me. I come here to study and it's nice and quiet. Hidden gem definitely in the northeast.

Pros: V cute, atmosphere music and staff. Extensive menu and good prices. I had just a lavender macchiato.

Cons: Wait was quite long (20min for just the coffee with no line, though there were 2 patrons eating) and coffee mediocre, only warm and flavor subpar.

May have to return to try the food. But would not return for their coffee.

I found this place via google when I needed to hop on a zoom call while on the road. I was pleasantly surprised! Great service, the food was fresh, and it was a chill place to work for a bit.

Last time I was here it took almost 10 mins to get black coffee that was already made and there was only 3 more clientes. Customer service is bad, it feels like they are been forced to do their jobs.

I’ve been looking for a new coffee spot and. I think I found it! The coffee is great, didn’t get a chance to try the food but it looked really good. I will definitely be coming back to try other things. The baristas were also very nice!

In the picture is a salted caramel macchiato. I got two shots of flavoring, but it came with five, just not a big fan of sweet coffee. The two shots were perfect for me!

Absolutely amazing coffee, service and workers! Love the environment and seating options as well as the hospitality!! Overall an amazing Cafe ran by amazing people! Highly recommend making this stop for an aesthetic and equally delicious coffee, latte or macchiato!

I highly recommend this cafe. It’s a hidden gem. It’s been on my list for a while especially because NE Philly doesn’t really good coffee shops. I got a bacon egg cheese on a croissant and coffee. I camped out and did work for a couple hours with no issues and a good WiFi. Didn’t need my headphones with the music- it was oldies… think Aretha Franklin era. My cousins went the next day and enjoyed their experience. I’ll be back for sure 🙂

Very cute, friendly and reasonably priced. Little neighborhood coffee shop that is exactly what a neighborhood coffee should be. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Northeast Philly

Excellent coffee that was fresh, flavorful and most importantly it was hot! The danish was also very good. They have a nice menu with many options and other products as well. The place is spacious, clean and relaxing. I highly recommend this cafe.

Super cute local coffee shop. The chai latte, iced coffee, and smoothies were delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place.

I used to come here more often than I did. They recently changed their hours to 3:30. I got there at 3:20 today and they told me they start closing around 3:00 and I was unable to get a coffee. I will no longer go to this place again. They used to be top notch with their customer service. Really good, now after today for me to come 10 minutes before they close and they told me they've been closing for 20 minutes now. It's just horrible.
