Haegele's Bakery Reviews
This bakery is the cleanest bakery I have ever walked in. It is so homey inside and you can tell they care about their customers. I travel 30 minutes to come here and it is well worth the drive!
Outstanding in every way!! The last of the classic Philly bakeries left! 5 generations!!!
The girl that I spoke with recommended a whip cream cake, let me tell you, this cake did not disappoint it was the best one yet I had a lot of cakes from Haegles. I would recommend any bakery item from Haegles ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Haegele's Bakery is a beloved institution in Northeast Philadelphia, known for its delicious German-inspired baked goods. With a small but impressive retail shop on the first floor of a row house, the bakery offers a vast array of breads, pastries, cookies, and cakes. From classic treats like butter cake and jelly tarts to unique offerings like Orange Pound Cake with Orange frosting, which tastes like a creamsicle, there's something for every palate. The bakery is particularly famous for its Bavarian Cream filled donuts, Garlic Twist Loaf, and sticky buns. Visitors often travel long distances, with some driving over 30 miles just to enjoy their special Thursday orange chiffon cakes. The bakery also features a variety of cakes, including Washington cake, which is described as moist with amazing icing, and coffee cake that many find pretty amazing. Customers frequently praise the friendly family-run atmosphere and staff, who are among the nicest people. Overall, Haegele's Bakery offers a warm environment where people can indulge in traditional German baking with a modern twist, making it a must-visit destination for bakery lovers.
