Harp and Crown is always consistent. Whether it be to come for some drinks and small plates or eat an entire dinner it’s always great. The staff are professional, welcoming and the food comes out incredibly fast. All the food is delicious and does not disappoint. The decor and ambience inside doesn’t miss and is a fun environment to enjoy the evening. Will continue to come here while in town and for dinners with colleagues for business.

Where do I begin, jeez. It is hard to find breakfast buffets in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area, so I had high hopes for this one, but I was greatly let down. I was given the check 30 minutes in. The waitress said that I looked like I was about to head out, but I was just taking my time. There is a 90 minute limit. I understand that waves of customers came in after me, and that my 2 seat table could be used as a table to cover two customers, but I put in a reservation for one person - I was not a walk in. I get the need for high turnover in an economy like this, but compromising customer service is pretty bad. The food was otherwise decent but not remarkable. I would rather spend a little bit more money at Fogo De Chao for brunch, where not only the food tastes far better, but the service is pretty top notch. Good riddance!

Very cool vibe, perfect for a fancy night out with a date or a large group of friends.
GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS. Honestly one of the best things on the menu.
The salmon was good as well albeit a bit small. The next time I go, I'll be sure to get the tasting menu! It seems like a good deal for how many courses it is.

One piece of bacon for a bacon burger is very disappointing, as well as being charged 18 dollars for it and iceberg lettuce with 1.5 cherry tomatoes, 3 half slices of cucumber and cheese (I am unable to eat fried food so no French fries and waitress told me they aren't allowed to substitute the side for another). Burger was burnt on one side. Waitress did not ask if I wanted anything else to order either, just dropped off the check. Disappointing at best given I had read several good reviews on Facebook.

Harp & Crown is a stunning restaurant in downtown Philly - seriously, the vibes here are incredible!
They have a very diverse menu, which I appreciate as a vegetarian. Their drink menu seems to change often, and this time we tried the Spritz, with vodka instead of gin. Please be advised: we were informed that they are a “straw-free” facility, which is a bit annoying - when it comes to certain drinks, straws are necessary. So bring your own or be prepared to walk next door from the deli and grab one!
We tried a variety of items:
The good: Fig Ricotta toast (my fave of the evening); Mushroom Truffle Pizza; and the Sweet Potato (addicting!)
The ok: Mac & Cheese - just could’ve used a bit more flavor/salt
The blah: Brussels (sauce was too acidic and not well balanced); Roasted Beets; Eggplant
Overall, I definitely had higher expectations for all the incredible reviews I read, but our meal was not bad per se.

Dark and moody vibes with elevated American cuisine. Large bar and dinning room with eclectic decor. Menu features bar food and entrees. Pizzas are made fresh in a full pizza oven. Happy hour has great deals, and service is fast and friendly.

I had a nice experience. The crab toast was good. My margarita pizza had the consistency of sauce to cheese was portioned well. The Brussels sprouts were charred nicely. My server Amber was really nice. Ask for her when you go. Great place to good with friends or a first date. It definitely passes the vibe check. You must check this place out

Met some friends for happy hour the food was greatthe drinks ok but our bartender could use some coaching on customer service. The bar could make a lot more money if the bartenders would interact with the customers

I’ve had many enjoyable experiences at Harp and Crown and often bring friends and family from out of town whenever they come and visit, but am now regretting taking my family here this week. They’re only in town from CA for a few days and we stopped by for Happy Hour.
My brother and dad had the spicy fried chicken sandwich on the HH menu and got bad food poisoning. They said it looked a little undercooked at first, but the lighting was so dark they couldn’t tell for sure and assumed it was fine. The chicken sandwhich is the only thing they ate all day that we didn’t also eat. They started feeling bad in the middle of the night but the next day was so terrible, my brother couldn’t do anything with us and couldn’t make it to our reservation at Kalaya. We are on now on day 2 of this food poisoning and he still can’t keep food down.
I’m so very disappointed this meal has been haunting their trip and is still impacting our plans. I know this isn’t standard as I have had many great experiences with friends here, but am regretting bringing my folks here.

We had an amazing brunch buffet. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I loved the variety and quality of the food. Can’t wait to go back! The only downside is that it’s only available on weekends, but it’s definitely worth the wait.
