Placed an order through Grubhub and it was delivered to someone else which was extremely aggravating. The poor driver was there for almost an hour before he found out my order was gone. So I had the audacity to place another order because I wanted their food. When this order finally arrives, I find out the extra cornbread I ordered was missing…and so was the chocolate cake I ordered. I didn’t place a second order to have missing items. Pay attention!!! They also put no gravy or salt/pepper on the rice…but they did last time. So that seemed like laziness to me.

Messed up my order twice in the same night. Spent $50 on food I didn’t order. Definitely not giving them any more of my money. Always in a rush to close up so nobody pays attention to what they’re doing.

I did not even want to disclose my real information because this restaurant is very intimidating. I ordered and delivered from this place before they used to be good but now they are horrible. A man at the door argued me down about orders and when I ate my food mu mashed potatoes were freezing cold and the gravy was so salty i had to water it down. I seen a roach before but it’s Philadelphia so i did not complain because it was not in my food. Silly me I should’ve this place is going down hill. Stay away

Honestly I don’t understand the low reviews but the food was really good came within an hour. Chicken wings, cornbread, Mac and cheese, collards, yams and lemon cake. Ate it before I could take a picture lol

I'm so glad I didn't read the reviews before ordering because they are misleading. I'm sure there could be some hit or miss items but everything we had was great. We had baked chicken, wings, and salmon with most of the side options so we could get a taste of different things. Zero complaints. Would definitely recommend.

Writing a review because I was weary from ordering due to their overall score. But honestly their food was very good. I got the wings fried hard, yams, and rice and gravy.I gave 4 stars because I ordered the banana crumble and it wasn't in the bag (I got delivery).

THIS FOOD SLAPSSSSSS OMG! Came from NY and went out for some soul food so I stopped here and was NOT disappointed at all.

If I could give it a zero I would but since I can't I have to give it a 1 star. let start of by saying I didn't receive all of my order to start off, the chicken was ok but needed seasoning. The mac & cheese was absolutely dry and needed seasoning also. The cabbage needed everything again absolutely no flavor. Now let start on this thing called potato salad, first off it is absolutely watery, needed to let potatoes sit and drain before mixing and let's not start on the eggs I thought I order potatoe salad not egg salad. I would never order from this place again, I wanted soul food which means seasoning the food.

My fiancé and I decided to try this place out. I had the fried whiting fried hard, mac & cheese, and cabbage. All of my food was delicious! My fiancé had the 8 flavored wings with house sauce and 6 sautéed shrimp with sweet chili sauce. His sides were collard greens and rice with gravy. The wings and shrimp were great the sauces were amazing. The greens were good but nothing special. We were given a 20-25min wait and it was ready in 20 very pleased with their speed of service. Overall we’ll eat here again. They have the best corn bread I’ve ever had it was so moist!Reasons they lost a star:1. I called to place my order and was hung up on2. Never got gravy for the rice, bleu cheese for the wings, or the hot sauce I had asked for with my fish.

We order from here frequently on Door Dash. Tonight we had a mishap with the driver. He delivered us someone’s order from Chipotle. I personally think he did pick up order and either delivered it to someone else or to his house because he was high as a kite. I reordered and the food was delivered this time, and we were given extra food! I’m sure Door Dash told them what happened. I see a few hit and Miss reviews, but whenever we have ordered our food is always on point. If anyone from the restaurant reads this, thank you so much! We will be ordering again soon☺️

Horrible. Ribs tasted like someone went on YOUTUBE and was experiencing for the first time on how to make them. Candied yams were mushy. Potatoe salad was the worst I ever had in my entire 32 years on this planet. My wife had the chicken which she said was tough. The rice and gravy was pathetic! The strawberry cake stale. I mean I’m never spending a red cent with them again. The best thing I can say about this place is that they bagged it right. *Shakes head in disgust*

I should’ve looked at the reviews. Fish sandwich no taste please don’t ask for lettuce on your sandwich because you will get salad lettuce! Gravy has no taste…shot none of the food has any taste! If you’re looking for good real soul food please don’t order from this place! WASTE OF MONEY!!

I don’t know who cooks this food, but It’s absolutely delicious…. Seasoned just right…. not too salty….. great portions for your money. Amazing…. Thanks for a delicious dinner…..I love great food!!!
