Good food but I’m not sure they understand what a “scramble” is. I got a piece of pork roll over eggs. Weird.

Her Daughters is a charming counter-service café with plenty of seating, free Wi-Fi, and a beautifully designed space. I got a cold brew and the vegan breakfast sandwich on a sesame bagel. It came with lots of vegan cream cheese and tempeh bacon. I'm not usually a tempeh fan, but this was quite tasty, and the bagel was excellent. Total cost was $16.50 for the sandwich and drink so standard pricing if maybe a bit on the high side for the area, but it's also the only cafe around with good vegan options so I'm not complaining. The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely.
Only minor issue was that it was freezing inside! I was in the room with the plants along the wall and seemed to be right next to and right under the vents, so maybe the other seats were less cold. But it was 100 degrees outside so I am mostly just impressed by their AC.
Overall, a great spot to chill or get some work done.

been coming here since they opened and it’s the best cafe in the neighborhood. The food, the drinks, the vibe. I don’t drink coffee but their iced chai tea is the best in the world and I would die on that hill!! 🖤

Spent 50 bucks on drinks and food and they tried to charge me 50 cents for a cup of ice water. Kinda sleezy

My first visit and I was super impressed! The inside is warm and welcoming, with a beautifully decorated space, tables for eating/working, and comfy couches to relax and wait for an order to go.
My breakfast sandwich was cooked perfectly, with a good amount of egg, bacon and cheese! I love the smashed bagel! I will definitely be back!

I will start by saying that this was going to be a 5 star review, but it turned to a 2 star review because of a bad experience yesterday morning.
I moved to the neighborhood a little under a yr ago and have had this place on my list to visit for a while. A friend from Argentina was in town for a work conference and stayed with me. So, for my first visit, I brought my friend here for us to have coffee and breakfast, and we also sat for a bit to work while we ate. This was on Thursday, April 17. I ordered a matcha latte, and my friend ordered a small Americano. We were both super happy with our drinks. I'm not as much of an avid coffee drinker as my friend is. But she said her Americano was super good. We also both got an everything bagel with bacon egg and cheese that was also delicious. We sat down and worked happily for about 2 hrs. On this day, all was great. We loved the space, the coffee, and the food. It's a great place to work because they have wifi and, in the room with the table and plants, there was a wall plug by every table. Which I thought was amazing and very rare for most coffee shops I've been to. So, on this day, I was ready to give it a 5 star all around.
We were so happy with our initial experience that we decided to go back again on Saturday morning, April 19th. On this day, I ordered a chai latte, and my friend ordered an Americano again, but this time, she got a larger size. For food, I ordered the pepper, egg, and cheese on a roll, and she ordered the same bacon egg and cheese. This time around, as my friend was sitting down and took a sip of her coffee, she immediately looked at me and said that it didn't taste the same as the other day. That it was super watered down. So she immediately went back to the register and told the girl (I don't remember her name but I think she was wearing a green shirt, had blue eyes and blondish hair). My friend told me that before she even said what was wrong, the girl was already looking at her making a face. And when my friend told her that it didn't taste the same as the other day and if she could either re-make it and give her a smaller size or add another expresso shot to make it stronger, the girl gave her attitude and got super defensive. She said that that's just how she makes it, and if my friend wanted more coffee, she was going to have to pay for it. Basically treating my friend as if she was being obnoxious or looking for freebies. At one point, the girl tried to add drip coffee into the same cup of coffee she had. It was an Americano. All she had to do was re-make it and add less water or add another shot of expresso. Eventually, the girl just added a shot of expresso, but my friend was super upset.
To me, this was such a bummer. The first day we went was great. So we were excited to go back. I was super excited to be able to support a local business. Now, I probably will not be back for a while because this experience was a real disappointment. I don't expect places to provide perfect service every time I visit. But at the very least, I expect my friends and I to be treated with respect, especially if we weren't being rude.
Oh look, a bug in my lovely drink.

From the food to the service it’s excellent. All the ladies working there are super interpersonal and very sweet. And I really like that their pork roll is a thick slice and not three flimsy pieces. Place kicks ass.
