On April 14, 2025, we had a family group of 9, which included (2) from out of town. I chose, and we agreed on Habachi Japanese Steakhouse on Columbus Blvd, Philly, because it was closest to the hotel where our out of town family members stayed. Also, the fact that it would appease a variety of appetite desires. I last visited this Habachi 10 years ago. It was beautifully decored, clean and the meals were absolutely delicious. The chefs displayed a very entertaining show of food and knife tossing creating a wow factor from their audience. And on this day, in 2025, I bring family and guest to what I thought would be a fun evening filled with delicious food and entertainment. I cringed as I share this experience. The restaurant had a dark dingy entrance at the back end of Dave n Buster's parking garage. It cost an expensive $30 to park for the evening. Outside the restaurant was not lit or esthetically appealing. Making it difficult to locate. We prayed the dark rickety elevator would successfully take us up to our floor. Once we reached the lobby, we looked upon carpeting that was worn and seemingly not cleaned in quite sometime. My utter embarrassment at the disappointing ambiance of the restaurant's outer appearance of neglect in no way compared to the, again dark, dingy spaces inside. The reception area had no lighting and the leather furniture was old and extremely worn with the looks of what you'd put in your basement for the kids to play on. They decorated with old dusty plastic flowers, a dusty antique Komono sat in the front desk area inside a dirty glass incasement. The carpeting was old, discolored and worn. Old framed pictures hung in oddly arranged, random spots on the walls. We walked to the back of the restaurant, and were seated around an uncleaned grilled with left over rice and food in its crevases. Mind you, we were their first guest that evening. So the grill was not cleaned well from the night before. Trust me, the pictures that you see from previous post, were accurate. The bathrooms had not been renovated since the 1970's. Rolls of brown paper towels were lined up across the sink counter, not in a pullout machine. Women needed to have knees that are in great shape to use their toilets, as they were too low to the floor. We endured because another choice was too far away and reservations were required. In my opinion the food rated a 5, on a scale of 1-10. No flavor. I was truly embarrassed and disappointed with my choice of dining for my family who followed my suggestion. But, they were all very gracious and understanding. Lastly, the family gathering was especially put together to share time with one family member who visited from out of town. The restaurant forgot her meal order out 9 people. Avoiding the risk of our food getting cold, we ate, while she waited. 15min. later they brought her a saucer, not a 10" plate, of veggies and a side of rice at no charge. Needless to say, I was livid. The meal were wayyy over priced. Starting at $39 for fried rice w/choice of ingredients, and choice of chicken, shrimp, veggies, steak and salmon is more...SMH!! Never again!! Next time I will visit a restaurant before inviting guest. A dining out experience should also include great ambience when that kind of money is spent.

After placing our order with the waitress, the chef at the table completely disregarded our request for no vegetables in the rice. He gave 3 orders of rice with no vegetables to the other end of the table. We informed the waitress who stated they would make it in the back. When the chef realized he made a mistake, his response was "oh well too late" and said we should have told him our order instead. It was rude and unnecessary. He could have just apologized for the mix up. My wife's entire order had to be made in the back. He shuffled food between plates as if he didn't know what he was doing, which is how my plate ended up with 4/5 pieces of steak. He said he had to get more steak for my order as well as vegetables for another guest because he didn't get her order right either. I asked for well done. The 1st time he made it correctly, but when he got more steak, he tried to rush to cook it. It ended up being medium well. By the time my entire order was completed it was cold. However, despite his rude demeanor, our waitress was amazing. Everyone at the table wanted to just tip her instead of him bc he was all over the place. It was a mess.

Came here 2 times so far & I will definitely be back. My first time I came with a group of sisters from my church. We had a good server & a good chef. We got a bunch of things. Shrimp and chicken and steak and salmon teriyaki. The extras are a bit expensive. It’s like $12 for a side of shrimp. $10 for extra rice. & like $10 for extra chicken. We came on a Sunday so we were able to get the special & paid like $20 for our meals not including the extras. The second time I came on a Saturday with a friend. We came as soon as the opened so we were able to get the early bird special that I believe ends at 6:15. We ordered a lot of items. Salmon, scallops, shrimp, chicken, steak. We also order honey teriyaki wings which were sooooo good! It comes with 6 wing dings for maybe $12. Each time we got fried rice, veggies & a salad. They charge $3 extra for just broccoli. I recommend just picking the onions & zucchini out & eating just the broccoli instead of paying extra. They charge gratuity. Idk what percentage it is, but it doesn’t matter the party size, they charge it.

Went here with a group of 15 - this place is incredible! The service was awesome, food was delicious, and prices were reasonable (we went for the early bird special). The experience as a whole was a blast with awesome views of the riverfront to top it all off. Some reviews mentioned it was dirty / bad service - not the case at all. Highly recommended.

Booked reservations for New Years Eve for 5:30 pm (fireworks started at 6pm) we weren’t seated till 6:30pm. Late seating wasn’t a major issue since we could still have the kids watch the fireworks from the bar area.

Once seated at our own fault realized it was a set menu at $50 a guest.

Having a shellfish allergy and all options for appetizers having shellfish (being fired in same oil) and entrees besides chicken being shellfish… left me paying $50 for chicken, salad, ice cream. My husband ordered the Japanese egg rolls which were burnt and his fried rice was burnt with charred flakes from the grill.

The manger came over and offered a free beer. Happy new year I guess.

A set menu during a busy night ensures quality and they definitely fell short in that department… fire burnt rice and burnt egg rolls. Management disputing saying “yes that looks fine enough to eat”

Honestly if wanting to watch the fireworks inside just go to the bar and order order drinks

Had dinner here with the coworkers. Sad to say my sushi roll was not what it said in the description and because I didn't want to cause a scene ate some of it but left hungry. The prices and dishes where not what it says on line either..I definitely felt tricked..don't eat here everything is OVERPRICED and just not that good..smh. I used to eat here over 10years ago and it's just not the same..sad but true.

Made a reservation for 8:30. Traveled all the way up from DC and the restaurant was completely dark. No notice or anything.
