Our sever Anna was great and cute! The cost of the food actually wasn’t bad and it was all really delicious. We had the crab wontons and yakitori for starters. The yakitori came with two chicken skewers and was so tender and melted in your mouth. The crab wontons we got because we saw a good review about them and they lived up to our expectations. I got the Fishtown specialty roll and I loved the presentation and taste. Then for dessert, I got the mochi ice cream and it came with mango, strawberry, and green tea flavors. They all tasted fresh and natural, and was a good decision for eating outside in the heat. Personally, everything was very filling, really tasty, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I don’t eat sushi often but this was a great place to do so!

The food and service were excellent. The rolls especially the crispy tuna was my favorite! The chefs did a great job 👍🏻 A must try in Northern Liberties!
Our server Jessica was also amazing! She was super attentive, patient with all of our chaotic requests (and trust me, there were many!), and always served with a smile, making our dinner more enjoyable.

This is my go to spot for sushi. Best overall spot, BYOB, good value. Always good for Togo or a last minute date night.

My family and I had the best dining experience here. It’s in a great family-friendly location and the staff were incredibly kind. The sushi was nothing short of phenomenal—each piece was artfully crafted and bursting with freshness. The crunchy rice roll and the Philadelphia hand roll were some of the stand-outs for us, but everything we tried was delicious. The chefs clearly take pride in their work, and it shows in every dish. Can’t wait to come back!

CJ and the Chefs provided an exceptional sushi experience for our group.
We opted for several of their specials and their house-made soy sauce did not disappoint.
Would absolutely recommend anyone to stop in and give this place a try.

Incredible experience. The sushi our group ordered was some of the best we’ve ever had outside of Japan, and the service was top-notch.

Our group of 6 had an incredible dinner here with delicious, high-quality sushi in an unassuming and welcoming space. It was still a bit chilly out when we visited, but we've already made plans to come back and enjoy the patio next time!!

If you're looking for a hidden gem that combines unassuming charm with exceptional quality, look no further than Hikari Sushi. Tucked away in the heart of Northern Liberty, this cozy restaurant may not boast a flashy exterior, but what it lacks in pretension, it more than makes up for in remarkable food and service.
From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff, friendly and attentive, make you feel like you're part of the family. But the real star of the show is the chef. With an impressive mastery of sushi, each dish is a work of art, bursting with flavors that showcase not only skill but creativity.
Whether it's a perfectly balanced roll, a delicate nigiri, or an inventive seasonal dish, every bite feels like a celebration of freshness and craftsmanship. It’s clear that the chef is not just preparing food, but is deeply passionate about the artistry of sushi. The quality of the fish is nothing short of stellar, and the subtle, yet bold, combinations of flavors show a true understanding of both tradition and innovation.
Hikari Sushi may be a humble neighborhood spot, but it offers a level of dining experience that far exceeds expectations. For sushi lovers who appreciate quality, creativity, and warmth, this place is nothing short of a treasure. Don’t miss it—Hikari Sushi is a delightful, unforgettable culinary experience.
Excellent meal and excellent service. This small BYOB in Northern Liberties is everything I want from a Sushi restaurant. A new chef took over three months ago and you have to come try everything. All of the staff is very attentive and friendly. My girlfriend and I ate pork buns, edamame, seaweed salad and two specialty rolls. We were treated to a complementary fruit dessert. We are 100% coming back.

Absolute hidden gem. The sushi is the best in the city. It’s getting harder to get a table on the weekends but luckily they’re on Caviar. The Simi roll and the Kanpachi carpaccio are must haves. A must try and weekly staple if you’re local!
