I realized there is a reason for so many pictures of the cheezesteak...it is THAT good. Loved the cauliflower bites. The service was great, and the food was hot and fresh. I am glad to see they are making more items in house. A go to spot for a guilty pleasure day! Updated from previous review on 2025-08-17
Burgers & nugs & fries. It’s classic American fast food. We got the philly, tenders, onion rings, and several sauces. It was all delicious. We paid for extra pickle & didn’t get it, tho; wahwah. No worries; everything was delish.
Hipcityveg is a jewel in a food that has tons of vegan options to compete with. This particular locations staff is extremely friendly and cool, and you can eat in the gorgeous marble-walled lobby of the bank building it shares a wall with.

Close to a week ago, I walked in to do a sit down order at this establishment. I had been here many times before and always received a pleasant reception and service. However this time, I felt something was off.
I was openly displaying some Jewish identifier, which I have kept hidden in the past. I ordered, tipped the staff really well, specifically remarked I was sitting down to eat there. Based on the vibe I was getting from the staff, I was actually concerned about how they were going to serve me, so I wanted to hang out at the counter to wait for my order.
The lady there said, that I should go sit down at the lobby area of The North American Building where we sit down to eat and that she would bring me my food. Yet after waiting for a long time and wondering what was going on, and just as I was ready to get up to ask about my order, the lady walked out with my food in a bag and it was cold.
She said, oh sorry we didn't really know where you are and sorry the food got cold, kind of just throwing it in my face. It was very obvious based on the interaction that she had clear disdain for the fact that I was proudly displaying that I was Jewish.
I am very careful of how I rate restaurants on Google. However, this situation definitely deserves a remarkable 1 star for their display of hate. I hope that this review is taken seriously and that our local Jewish supporters of this shop take heed when they walk in to order the next time.

Absolutely awesome vegan food. Great flavors. Friendly staff. All of the dishes were epic. Items ordered: spicy chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, cheese steak with extra cheese, regular fries, andozr of the sauces to try. Soooo good. Worth every penny.

The restaurant posted the wrong hours for when it was open on both this app and Google Maps. Would not recommend wasting time to come here if you don’t even know if it will be open.
I ordered a spicy sweet crispy chick'n wrap, fries, the limited time "not so crabby patty", and two pride shakes. The wrap tasted really really good but it was very very small, it could fit in the palm of my hand. I wish that it was larger. The fries were great, no notes. The limited time patty was good but the sauce was over powering, it was a little too cheesy, and the burger felt apart quickly. If you like cheese then this is a great option. Overall good but there wasn't really a crab taste. The milkshakes were super good! The pride milkshake tasted like strawberry and birthday cake ice cream. Very thick. Overall I enjoyed this place. And yes it is expensive but vegan food typically is.
Ordered on uber eats. Theres no section to purchase sauces separately. I called and asked for hip city sauce. They say ok but next time you have to add on the app. I explain there was no option to add sauce on the app. She ignores what i say, repeats to add it next time and that she will add the sauces this time. Order arrives.... One individual one oz sauce for 3 sandwiches. Unbelievable. Ruined my whole meal over a few 50 cent sauces after spending $55 for 3 sandwiches!!!!!

Delicious delivery Vegan noms. Really kind service via the phone for my questions, and mannnnnnn those sweet potato fries and the turmeric tangerine drink are *chefs kiss*. My non-vegan and generally begrudging on eating faux-meat but still my favorite because he tolerates my shenanigans husband said the burger was great!

I ordered the smokehouse burger meal and it was dynamite. I shall definitely return. Service was friendly and personable. Establishment was clean though small. The tangerine turmeric drink was great too. Crispy fries. Top marks.

I have not tried everything on the menu yet but as far as I know, the best Hashbrowns in the city are sold here and for a reasonable price. I love them and will keep coming back.

Ordered a single sandwich and cauliflower nuggets, but waited over 30 minutes. When we asked for an update on time, we were asked if we had ordered (25 minutes prior), and were told to “just wait” and that “I’m busy”
Food is pretty good, but was not fast at all.

This place used to be my go to, especially for the ranch sandwich, but something changed. You could literally taste the oil and the fries were like rocks, probably refried. Disappointed because the quality just isn’t the same anymore.
