We celebrated our 21st anniversary at Chef Max’s counter on a Friday night. Words cannot describe how amazing the experience is at the chefs counter. There is so much love and art put into every meal. Not only is the food amazing and taste out of this world, the experience watching the process is equally entertaining. I highly recommend the chefs counter!! This is how it’s done right!!!

Had an excellent bowl of hearty minestrone soup and a hot from the oven chocolate chip cookie for lunch. Great food and engaging chef made for a memorable visit to Chestnut Hill today.
Best food in chestnut hill. Love the lunch and dinner service. All of the food is great and we love the chocolate sorbet as well. This place is the real deal

Finally had a chance to experience the fixed price dinner at the Chef's Counter and it was just perfect. Chef Max puts together a meal that you'll be talking about for a long time.

My partner and I had a Sunday dinner at Chef Max's Counter. It was a beautiful and delicious meal from start to finish. It was a nice atmosphere and the service provided was attentive and thorough. It was great to talk to Max about his philosophy and what he envisions for the restaurant. Each course was presented well and very tasty. Highlights include the vegan sushi course with ponzu sauce, the sorbet, and the carrot ginger starting plate. There was flavor packed into every bite!

Came here for a Valentine’s Day tasting menu and was blown away. My partner picked the restaurant and I went in blind, knowing nothing. Incredible experience. The food was outstanding and made right in front of us. Max is a wonderful chef who worked magic to provide an incredible tasting menu by himself. Will be going back, and bringing friends.A very clear example of “you get what you pay for”.
