We called in an order at 9:30pm and the woman who took our order said that our food would be ready in 5 minutes. We were 15 minutes away but we figured it was no big deal because they would get extra time to finish the order and we would still be there 15 minutes before they close. When we got to the restaurant (which BTW is not called Humming Bird but is called Paradise on the storefront) we went in an were told that they were closed (it was still before 10) and we let them know that we had called in an order. After shouting back and forth with a girl in the kitchen, he told us that while she took our order, she did not make the food at all. They then tried to blame us for being late but if we had gotten there at 9:35, then the food wouldn't have even been ready and we would've had to wait anyway. So walked away empty handed and went to a Chinese restaurant a few doors down.

My favorite Jamaican food place in NW Philly. The food is always flavorful and packed with love, you don't mind the wait or occational confusion from behind the counter.
The restaurant is excellent and spacious, the meals was delightful and the prices were very inexpensive. quickly, effective service and very affable staff. Will definitely recommend this spot.
