The restaurant wasn't super busy considering it was a Wednesday evening. But, I'm assuming they were understaffed. Our waiter was handling a party of 20 by himself, plus our table of 4. Service was incredibly slow. Appetizers came out with meal...but we had to ask the hostess to please go find our food. Needless to say, the soup was cold and kinda gross. And to top it off, it was our daughter's 21st birthday and she was looking forward to her first legal drink in a restaurant...and she wasn't even asked to show ID for her cocktail 🤣

We got seated right away. The server was attentive and accommodating. Our meals came out fast and were very good. We were a group of 5 and seating was plenty spacious. We really enjoyed our time.

Unfortunately, our food took close to an hour and a half to arrive. I alerted a manager when it was over an hour and nothing was comped on our receipt or anything. Our server was very nice but she also forgot multiple items. It wasn't very crowded in there, either- maybe at 30% capacity. Food wasn't very good this time- except cheesesteak egg rolls which were delicious. Even the Diet Coke was flat and I was never offered another one. Not great.

Seated quickly. Service slow. Food average. Once the server received help, things picked up. She was overwhelmed. The food was bland missing flavor. The wrong order came out 2xs. The drinks were overpriced.

We had a stellar and fun evening with delicious cocktails and meals. Service was outstanding. We always enjoy Iron Hill. Thanks.

What happened to this place? I rarely comment on establishments (especially now that staffing is tight all around) but this used to be a solid and dependable place to dine at. Food was mediocre at best, and service was completely absent. I would have been better off ordering DoorDash from the table instead of waiting for a waiter... would have been faster. Huge let down.

We are a group of retired woman who go to lunch monthly . We usually go to restaurants in Montgomery County but this time we decided to try Chestnut Hill. The service was excellant. Our server went out of her way to make us all feel welcome. We were even treated to Beer samples. The atmosphere was very comfortable and we all enjoyed our various entries. We will be back.

This was my 1st time at this restaurant chains location. My family and I (party of 9) came to this restaurant for a post evening graduation dinner. We arrived 30 minutes before the closing of the kitchen. Because of this some staff seemed obviously disgruntled. However, Sean, who I assumed was the GM stepped right in & exemplified stellar professionalism & leadership. He was very welcoming, accommodating and attentive. Sean ensured that our food was HOT & tasty. Everything was perfect! He & our waiter, Matt really enhanced our experience and made it beyond enjoyable. They made the environment comfortable for us to relax, eat, laugh and celebrate as a family with their energy. It was a perfect way to conclude an already wonderful evening. Thank you again for your hospitality.

We went today on May 26 for Memorial day and the server was so kind. He got us some sample drinks and we were so thankful. Burger was great. Pizza was mid.

I've been here before and had perfectly fine experiences. It must have been an off day. It was Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. They were not busy at all, tons of open tables. I had asked for a table in the front by the large windows in my reservation request. My husband, our toddler, and I arrived 20 minutes early and said we can wait but if you have anything in the front, would appreciate sitting there. Turns out there was an open booth but the server asked the host to not give him another table. We were sat in a different section at a very uncomfortable booth. Our server was good and the food was fine. But the seating situation has me not wanting to return.

Thank you Iyanna for the extra time and patience you exhibited when accommodating our adult birthday party on Mother's Day, May 11th. The food and service was very good; loved the eggplant burrata. The space was nice and private. We had a great time.

Food was good. Service was poor.

No one visited out table for >10 mins after being seated. Forgot about us until I visited hostess stand.

45 minutes between ordering our meals and food on the table.

Manager came by after I paid to see how things were going. Thanks, but too late to do anything to fix it.

Yes it was Mother’s Day. No it was not busy…it was half empty.

I won’t be going back.

A fine amount of atmosphere, but everything was below average to actively bad.

Had the Andromeda beer, was solid. Though the Philly Phresh may have been the worst beer I've ever had at a bar or brewery.

Then the food was also nearly atrocious. Had the sweet potato fries. Had to return them first because they were closer to cold than warm. Then when I got them back they still weren't great, no salt, not crispy, too thick that they felt like I had a sweet potato, not a fry.

Had the fish and chips, felt like it was low quality fish, little to no flavor, had coleslaw that was old looking.

Wife had the grilled chicken sandwich, somehow it was watery. Her fries were non-offensive.

Service was also slow. Though the people were relatively attentive and nice.

Would 100% skip.
