Isgro Pastries Reviews
I've been buying from Isgros since 1975. Anyone who writes a bad review of this beloved bakery is likely to think the Grand Canyon is merely a hole in the ground. Don't believe any of their drivel. Maybe.....maybe!....they caught a bad batch of goods....but its highly unlikely. Everything sells out! How can stuff be stale? Impossible!!
Everything they produce is simply sensational. I've never heard of any complaints from anybody who I know to be a regular customer....read full review

Never again. Isgro’s pastries might be famous, but the pickup process is a complete disgrace. I ordered ahead and still waited over an hour just to get my box. No paid pickup line. No organization. No respect for customers’ time.
They’ve got so much business, they’ve clearly stopped caring. Only at Isgro would someone think, “Let’s treat preorder customers worse than walk-ins!”

Isgro Pastries is a beloved bakery in South Philly, known for its delicious treats and exceptional service. The bakery offers a wide range of sweet delights, including cupcakes, cannoli, and rum cake. The pastries are made with high-quality ingredients and are always fresh. The bakery prides itself on its customer service, with staff members like Amanda going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Visitors often find the bakery small and crowded, but it is worth a quick visit to grab a pastry. Known for their cannolis, they also offer gluten-free cookies and macarons. The shells of the cannoli have a perfectly golden-brown and flaky crust with a satisfying crunch, and both the ricotta and mascarpone fillings are delicious. The staff creates a welcoming atmosphere, and during special occasions, the owners have been known to serve free champagne and treats to customers. While lines can be long during busy hours, a ticketing system helps keep the line moving. This bakery is a mainstay of the Italian Market and a must-try at least once. The highlight treats include the anise and fruit & nut biscotti, though packaging can sometimes be an issue, leading to crumbled cookies. Overall, Isgro Pastries offers a variety of high-quality baked goods in a friendly environment.
