Terrific meal at JF. Started with NE Clam Chowder. Big bowl, filled to the top, with hot deliciousness! Finally, a great bowl of winter soup. Entrees were ribs and fried chicken. Both were great comfort food staples. The collard greens and mac&cheese were outstanding accompaniments. Service was great. Restaurant was pretty empty, maybe because it was two days after Christmas? Regardless, Jack's Firehouse delivered exactly the meal we wanted and deserved.

I visited Jack's Firehouse as I recently attended the Park to Broad Taste of Fairmount event. Jack's Firehouse had featured a few items that I really enjoyed at the event so I wanted to stop in and try them again.
I placed an order for the pulled pork on nacho chips and they did not disappoint! I also ordered the butter cake to go as that dessert is just absolutely fabulous.
I didn't catch the bartender's name but he was very nice and very attentive. I enjoyed a glass of High West bourbon which sometimes is hard to find and many establishments so I was pleased.
The atmosphere was great and pretty chill.
I will definitely be back with friends.

I saw a mouse running around the dining room, and at the end of the night I saw some sort of bug crawling on the whiskey bottles. I was disappointed since the restaurant is beautiful, but it was disgusting.

I’m a huge fan of this quaint gem, directly across the street from Eastern State Penitentiary. The food, service, and atmosphere are fantastic. There is table service, outdoor seating, and a great bar. The complimentary cornbread muffins and cookies are a delightful bonus!

Food was just ok though and not a great value; service was rather abysmal AND they seem to have cross contaminated someone’s food who is gluten free along with other food allergies. Waiter seemed either high or just totally out of it most of the time.
Skip the food and only hit this place for some pics and a drink.
Loved it! Worth every penny.. The food was delicious, the portion size was great.. The building was so nice, staff was amazing. We reserved a table which was a great option for a Friday night . It was just perfect.

Food and service was perfect, really cool inside. Bartender/server was awesome. Catfish Po boy was amazing. Wish the menu was bigger, but everyone was blown away with what they had.

Avoid as much as possible. Cross the street when you walk by. Food here is an abomination. Po boy was dry and fried hours ago, pulled pork had 3x more bread than meat on the sandwich. I tell all my friends to never go here.
