Food and service was perfect, really cool inside. Bartender/server was awesome. Catfish Po boy was amazing. Wish the menu was bigger, but everyone was blown away with what they had.

Avoid as much as possible. Cross the street when you walk by. Food here is an abomination. Po boy was dry and fried hours ago, pulled pork had 3x more bread than meat on the sandwich. I tell all my friends to never go here.

Sorry but not sorry we’re not coming back nor recommending it. Crazy they 1. Charge automatic 20% tip, 2. Charged us for the one bug dish, 3. Chicken and waffles were so soggy, inedible, and 4. No apologies on the super delayed and staggered serving of both replacement dishes 😳🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️👎. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Only went to try it since it was across the State Penitentiary tour we had just completed and were hungry. 🤦🏻♀️

I had to come out and write a review. This place used be so good but unfortunately that is not the case anymore. First, the beer was room temperature. Second, they came out with our entrees before our appetizer, we told them it’s too late now and to not bring it. The NY steak literally was tasteless. The waitress barely came to our table and didn’t even apologize when we told her about the beer and the appetizer. But it’s no wonder since they take 20% tip so they don’t care about the service they provide. It’s probably because the service is so bad that no one would want to tip. Some suggestions that could’ve taken place was a cold beer on the house or bringing out the appetizer and it being on the house to make it right. But no, they do not care. Please do better it’s such a shame.

HOWEVER these people force a 20% tip even for just parties of 2. Ordered an appetizer, guess they forgot it completely. Wasnt gonna say anything because I did enjoy my steak, but demanding 20% with no other option is insane. Never going back unless they change up their menu as my partner did not enjoy her meal.
Take off the mandatory 20%, I’m not even sure you're allowed to do that without informing customers prior to the goods and services rendered.

Ordered a burger medium and it came out well done. Lettuce on plate was soggy and no good. Fries were over cooked and burnt. Very hot inside no ac. More fliesbthan I could count.
It's a really amazing building and I am obsessed with the large doors. The drinks were good and I had a very good burger the other day. This is a good place to go with a big group of people or even just to get a drink. They gave us complementary cookies.....

The food is good and the complimentary dessert was fantastic. Ultimately I cannot rate it 5 stars because when you include the mandatory gratuity the prices are just out of control. It would be more honest to raise the price and tell us that no tip will be needed.
