I'm very disappointed, we had a reservation for 12 for my son's birthday and y'all did not have any of the food that we ordered on the menu, so we left and had to go to another restaurant..

The customer service communication was horrible. First time ever eating here. Did a takeout order. Food has no taste. Won’t ever eat here again.

Thank you, Jacobs Northwest, for hosting the Philly MTCC Happy Hour! Your food and drinks were excellent and perfectly accommodated our party of 30. There were minimal hiccups with some food items not being available from the menu. The atmosphere made for a great gathering. We truly appreciate the hospitality and look forward to visiting again!
This was a really good spot. Our server Martini was so great and welcoming absolutely loved her. It was our first visit & definitely would be coming back. The food was delicious & on point. 10/10 recommend

I went here last month on a Sunday around 12:30,they were closed. There was no note up saying why or the next day they would be open. I even checked online the day before and that morning. It stated on Google open for brunch until 3 or 3:30 pm.How tacky and disappointed I was after traveling for 35 mins.Even if you could not change it on google,at least put a note up to apologize for people's inconvenience. I couldn't tell if the place was shut down or what.I have a party to attend on Aug.9,so I guess they're still in business. I'll put up another review after I taste the food. This was a weird experience.
Jacob's hosted my mother-in-law's celebration of life brunch, and the family and I were pleased with the service and the food. Tanesha's cooking was one of my mother-in-law's favorite things to experience, and I was grateful the rest of the family was able to review Mena's top 5 favorite places.

I came here on a Saturday evening and was extremely wowed ! My waiter Martin was friendly, warm and attentive. The restaurant music and lighting was just right . I was seated within 5 minutes with no reservations. The food was out of this world . I had the seafood pasta and my daughter had the brisket cheese steak . We will be coming back ! Oh it’s black owned which is a huge plus and I highly recommend trying it out if in Philly area !

My friends and I went to the establishment today and we are not pleased with the service. My friend ordered the Jacob jawn (drink) and when it came to our table it was basically half the glass. My friend asked why it looked like that and the server (really sweet young lady) said that’s how it comes. My friend then said she didn’t want it that she would take a lavender lemon drop instead. The waitress came back and said that they would still have to charge us for the drink (manger’s decision). We asked the manager who did approach our table, he explained because it’s premium liquor they would still have to charge us for it. We proceeded to cancel all of our food order which was a little over $120 not counting our drink order. And left the establishment. The waitress(forget her name) was very sweet. She offered to cover the cost of the 1 drink the manager refused to take off.. because of that we tipped her $40. Another table complained about their food, and they were not pleased. Not sure if they left but we did. Do better Jacobs!!!

I planned a birthday brunch for my husband's birthday. It was scheduled for Sunday July 6th from 12n to 2pm.I came to the restaurant weeks before the event and met the host. After she'd given me the information. I asked if I should leave a deposit requested of $200.00. She said not at that time. She said someone will be in touch with me. I waited about two weeks and no one contacted me. I called the restaurant and spoke to the same host. She resure me that someone would be in touch with me. I again asked if I could submit the $200.00 deposit. She informed me that the deposit is now $400.00. I didn't understand how it had changed from $200.00 to a $400.00 deposit. She gave me an explanation that I still didn't understand. A few days later I received a text stating that my email address was incorrect. I submitted my email address. I still hadn't heard from anyone. I called the restaurant the week of my event and spoke to the shift manager. He informed me that he had my information, but the restaurant may not be open to thepublic, but may be able to host a event. He'd had to check with his manager who was in a meeting. He said that he'd call me back in a half hour. Meanwhile, my daughter called. He never called me back. I once again called him. He said that he thought that my daughter would rely the message to me. I told him that my daughter isn't me. Finally a manger called to say that due to the sanitation strike the restaurant will be closed that weekend. I was angry over the unprofessional actions of the process.I had to initiate all contact. This business is poorly ran,and will not remain in business long. I didn't have time to make other agreements. The manager unsympathetic and unprofessional. I would never recommend Jacob's restaurant to anyone.

I came with a group that was scheduled with the owner a month prior. When we arrived, the staff DID NOT KNOW we were to have our group Brunch. Coffee machine is broken so small pots of water have to be boiled. Service of food was hit or miss BUT the wait staff tried to accommodate us as best as they could. Come on Jacob’s! If you want our support, you MUST step up your game!!!

First let me say I called and asked what time does you open and they said 2pm for lunch, had a lunch date with 2 of my friends since we were all off. They never opened and we waited a half an hour and still didn't open. It's so hard to support blk owned businesses we went to another restaurant said they opened at 12pm wasn't open, sad to say went to a white owned restaurant and guess who was open. I definitely will not be recommending this place
We had a 5:00 pm reservation on the Saturday before Father's day. We called earlier in the day and confirmed our reservation. Upon arrival at 5:03 pm the doors to the restaurant were still locked. The hostess inside waved us to the back entrance. That door was locked. One of the cooks was standing outside on his cellphone and the kitchen door was propped open. We sat in our car until another party of 3 arrived around 5:20 pm.. The door was unlocked by then and they entered the establishment. Within 5 minutes they came out saying no one had tried to seat them so they left and went across the street to a different restaurant. We observed that the restaurant didn't have any other customers arriving and we took that as a sign. We left as well. We definitely will not return.

I love going. The biggest issue I have is the wait for the food. I was a little disappointed with the wings because they were so small.
